Ari sat in the cold, sterile office, waiting for the principal to arrive. She couldn't help but feel annoyed. And to make matters worse, Cheryl is there. She sat there with a little smirk on her face, making Ari look at her weirdly.
"Why is she here?" Ari thought to herself.
After a few seconds of confusion, Ari finally realized what was going on. It was about the fight that happened the other day. After a few minutes of waiting, the principal finally walked in, closing the door behind him.
"Good morning, girls. I have called you both here today to talk about the fight that took place between you two yesterday. Can you tell me what happened?" he said, taking a seat at the desk.
"Oh, allow me, Mr. Wheatherbee. She came up to me acting all high and mighty. and then she pushed me." Cheryl said, making Ari roll her eyes. "She is lying; I don't even know her; this is my first year going here," she defended herself.
"As the principal of this school, I am deeply concerned about the recent incidents of fighting among students. It is disheartening to see young individuals resorting to violence to resolve their differences. That's why I have contacted your parents, Ms. Bloosom," he said
"What, my parents? What about her?" she said, pointing her finger at Ari.
"Yes, I'm getting to that, Ms. Bloosom. Ms. James, I looked at your files, and I noticed that you don't have any of your parent's numbers signed. I need you to call your mother," he said.
"Aw shit, I can't call my mother, she going to know where I am. Shit think Ari"
"Um, I can call my stepdad," Ari said, pulling out her phone.
"Yes, please."
Ari detailed the number while watching it ring.
