Melody parked the car on the other side of the street. "Here we are, kids." she took off her seatbelt and turned the car key. "The Mystery Mall."

Gideon looked out of the window. "Woah," he pressed his nose against the window. "It's so big!"

Pacifica took off her seatbelt and put her head on Gideon's shoulder, looking at the view with him. The mall was big, and very crowded, even if it was still a bit early. The huge sign 'Mystery Mall' was vandalised with spray — but whoever decided to vandalise it needed a better choice of what to draw, because a muffin doesn't seem very interesting in the place of a welcoming sign.

The friends hopped down the car and followed Melody to the Mall. She adjusted the cap over her head and turned to the friends. "Okay, so, before I take you there, a few rules I need you to follow." she raised a finger. "One: don't get away from my line of sight. You're my responsibility and I don't want to risk losing you. But, if a store catches your attention and you have money to buy stuff, warn me where you are before you go." she raised a second finger. "Two: if you start working with me, then follow every word Ms. Wentworth and I tell you — but not Robbie's. He's not going to be your boss."

"Who?" Pacifica asked.

"Robbie Corduroy, another kid that works for Ms. Wentworth." Melody said. "He can be a nice kid, he's just a little moody."

Gideon turned to Pacifica. "Like you."

Pacifica elbowed him with a frown. Gideon laughed.

"Anyways, just another question: do any of you know how to use rollerblades?"

Gideon grinned. "We do!" he bounced. "I love rollerblading! Especially on the streets — well, the pavement of the streets." he waved his hands in an explanatory manner. "But still, we adore rollerblading! Or at least, I do."

"I like it too." Pacifica said. "But I don't do it often. I'm more of a golf girl."

"Good, because maybe, you'll be waiters." Melody said.

The friends looked confusedly at her. "Um," Pacifica tilted her head. "What does rollerblading have to do with being a waiter?"

"Ms. Wentworth thought it would be a good idea to have waiters serve while rollerblading, because apparently, they're faster and fun." Melody explained. "I like the thought, but I'm kinda concerned over how it would turn out. . ."

Gideon grinned widely, bouncing up and down. "Did you hear that, Paz? Did you hear that?" he asked. "We're going to work with rollerblades!"

Pacifica smiled. "I heard, Gid." she said. "That does sound fun. But I think I know why Melody is worried." memories of past accidents with rollerblades came to Pacifica's head, especially when she accidentally bumped into another person and both crashed into a tree.

"I think it's going to be fantastic!" Gideon put his hands on his waist. "And I already this lady Wentworth! Can we go meet her already?"

"Sure, follow me." Melody gestured with her head, heading into The Enchant Cafe.

The automatic doors opened as the three went inside. A woman with long grey hair let down, pink makeup and wearing a red dress with a golden clip of a crescent on her head talked to a black-haired teenager that seemed to not even care about what she was saying, while the woman was excitedly sharing new ideas for decoration.

"And then we can put some globes below the lamps to make them look like stars," she gestured to the lamps above her, sunglasses protecting her eyes. "And— ah! Melody, darling! My darling!" she opened her arms and hugged Melody.
