Dreaded Changes {Alex Walter x Reader}

The Day Before

               I was at the Walters again, these days were always the best. The bright shine of the sun beaming on my face as I am riding a horse with my best friend. He taught me everything, told me I was a natural. We rode until it started to get dark, to which we returned inside for dinner. I had my own seat at the Walters because they all considered me an honorary Walter. 

"Oh Y/N dear, do you need a ride home?" Mrs. Walter asked me.

"It's alright I'm walking distance." I told her.

"Nonsense, it's going to be too dark I don't want you walking on your own, Cole please take Y/N home after dinner." She insisted.  "And everyone remember, Jackie is going to be here tomorrow. You must all treat her with respect and kindness, she has gone through much more than we could ever imagine." 

The boys all looked at each other unbothered. Jackie was moving in with the Walters tomorrow because in her parents will it said she would, I don't know how to feel knowing a girl my age is moving in with Alex but I do feel sorry for her so I hope she settles in. 

Finishing my meal, Cole gets up to walk out with me when Alex quickly got out of his chair to send me off. 

"Bye Y/N, I'll see you tomorrow!" He smiled giving me a hug to which I accepted, he was warm.

"See you Walter." I smirked and headed out with Cole.

"You're painfully obvious you know Y/L/N." Cole said not looking to me.

"What?" I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion.

"Never mind." 

The ride was silent, me and Cole never speak much. We've almost hooked up once which makes me feel incredibly awkward around him, he had this affect and I regret even going inches by him. We were interrupted by Isaac though thankfully they have a no snitch rule because he Alex ever found out about that I don't know what I'd do. 

Once I was home I went straight to the shower, I was going completely delusional thinking about how Alex looked at me and hugged me. Before I knew it, the next day was already dawning as I was in deep slumber.
