The young avengers soon arrived at a hanger inside the helicarrier and were directed to the main hall where a large group of heroes and villains were gathered, those who couldn't attend fiscally were on monitors. The tension in the room was thick enough to be cut with a knife. The group split up each searching for their parents
Barbara: I thought something had happened to you
Clint: Mom I saw dad, his one of them. He... He tried to eat me
Before barbara could console her son coronel nick fury walked into the centre of the room grabbing everyone attention
Nick fury: Alright people time is of the essence so listen up
A large monitor behind fury showed a map of new york city with times square highlighted in red
Nick: As most of you know the epicenter that started this... Plague, or whatever you want to call it was in times square. That's the first known instance. We don't know how--but something from another dimension broke into ours. The avengers, as is often the case, were the first on the scene
The same monitor changed to a video of someone filming as the avengers walking through the crowd with general america reassured them
General america: Please remain calm, everything is under control
Reaching the crater general america reached out to something, suddenly a blue blur passed by the general ripping out a chunk from his shoulder. Soon the rest of the avengers were on the floor as a man wearing a blue suit with an S on his chest, red boots cape and underwear floated above the ground holding ms marvel by the neck

Stranger: Bon appétit
The stranger let go of carol and flew up leaving behind the avengers riving in pain
General america: My... Blood... It burns
Hunching over he violently vomited three times before looking up, his lips were gone, the teeth were twisted and jagged beyond repair accompanied by white dead eyes
General america: THE HUNGER!!
He then lunged at the camera man, that's where the video ended as fury continued
Nick: General america, hawkeye, black widow, luke cage, ms marvel... They're the start of this shit show. In a matter of hours it has spread to nearly all of the american continent. As far as we can tell, only meta-humans are affected but that may well be because us normal humans are their main course and stand no chance at fighting off those monsters. As it is now, we still have time to contain it. But know this if we fail, if even a single one of those things leaves the continent it's over for all of humanity
U.S.Agent noticed magneto amongst the crowd and voiced his concerns
U.S.Agent: Who the hell let him in here
Wolverine: Magneto's with us, bub. You got a problem with that?
Nick: In case you haven't noticed walker humanity is facing extinction so good vs evil is the least of my worries. If they're not trying to turn you into an all you can eat buffet then I don't give a shit, and frankly magneto is too much of an asset to give up under the current circumstances
Iron man: So what's the plan
Nick: The plan iron man, is for you to work with reed richards and bruce banner to develop a cure. While you do that, the rest of us will divide into rescue squads, saving who we can and bringing them here, until we save the world. Everyone clear!?
Nova: THIS IS INSANE!? Do you guys even realize what we're up against!? If someone you know isn't here-- they're one of them. Don't you see what that means!? We're completely outnumbered! And the plan is to, what!? Turn this helicarrier into noah's ark!? How many people can fit in this thing which by the way gets knocked out of the sky every three days...
The tirade was cut short when he was sucker punched sending him to the floor. The one responsible was cj with a bloodied hand
Clint: And do what, lay down and die? Is that your great plan nova? Yes fury's isn't perfect but it's the best thing we have right now. I get it you're scared, I'm scared shitless myself but there's still civilians down there who are even more scared and it's our duty to save them!!
Nova didn't get up instead he looked down in shame. Taking advantage of the silence fury spoke up
Nick: With that out of the way does anyone else have any objections
Seeing that no one spoke up he nodded
Nick: Good, dismissed
Back at the room clint had discarded the cups in favor of drinking directly from the bottle
Clint: At the time we all believed in fury's plan. It was a sound one, well more like the only option we had
In the streets the avengers were feasting on the insides of a school bus
General america: Stop!
The avengers turned to look at him some still chewing
General america: Look at us, look at what we're doing. We're supposed to protect them not eat them. The pain--the hunger-- it's gone for now. We don't need to do this, we--we could be cured. We need to find a way to make this feeling last--to fend off the madness. We're avengers for fuck sake! We need to fight this, we've got to... Stop... Before too much damage is done
The group soon followed general america in direction of avengers tower
General america: I fear it may be too late. We need to get back to avengers tower--rethink this-- regroup
Over at the helicarrier whitney had just finished healing cj hand as his mother berated him
Barbara: Just what in the hell were you thinking punching an asshole with a metal helmet!
Clint: I had to do something
Izumi: And punching him was your best idea
Clint: Well excuse me not all of us can punch rage fueled hulk back into mild mannered bruce banner
Izumi frowned as several heroes and villains began to board various ships
Izumi: Just wish I could go with you instead of staying up here
Whitney: Nova was right about one thing the helicarrier does have a habit of falling down
Clint raised his fist as the girls bumped it
Clint: Let's save the world
Back in the room clint drunkenly spread his arms around the room
Clint: Yeah, well. You can already guess how that worked out
A/n: That took so time to write between work and one massive write but in the end it's out. And now to celebrate the 40TH anniversary of transformers, one of my all time favorite cartoons
