Oakwood Riding Academy

Chapter 1

"Mum, I'm home" I yelled as I closed the front door. "I'm in the kitchen honey. Go put your bag in your room, then come here please" my mum yelled from the kitchen. I ran quickly up the stairs to the second floor of the house and went to my room. I put my bag down then went down to the kitchen. "How was your day honey?" My mum asked as I enter the kitchen. "It was good" I said sitting down at the bench. "Did you get the mail today mum?" I asked. "Yeah, it's it the drawer there." Mum said taking out a chocolate cake from the oven. I went into the drawer and got out the mail. As I flipped through I found a very important letter. I opened it and read over it quickly. "OH MY GOD! Mum I got in, I got in to Oakwood Academy." I screamed in excitement. "Well done honey, I'm so proud of you" slowly placing the cake on a drying rack. "Mum, I've got to call Zoe and see if she got in" I said grabbing a drink from the fridge. I went upstairs to my room and grabbed my phone out of my school jacket. "1 missed call, from Zoe" I said taking my hair out. I called Zoe. "Hey Zoe, I have some good news. why did you call?" I said opening my wardrobe. "Hey, I have some good news as well. But you can say yours first." "On 3 we say it at the same time." I grabbed out my yellow summery dress. "1......2.....3....." "I got into Oakwood" we said at the exact same time. "Yay, we get to go together" I screamed. "Sophie, come here please" mum yelled from the kitchen. "Coming mum. Talk later Zoe, bye" I said hanging up and getting changed. I ran downstairs and into the kitchen. "Okay Soph. I need you to go bring in and feed the horses and feed the dogs" mum said icing the chocolate cake. I did as she said and went to feed the horses.

"Ice, Lemon, Danny!" I yelled as I grabbed their lead ropes. All I herd was loud pounding against the ground as they galloped along the fence line. I clipped the lead lines on and led them back into the barn. Once in the barn I unclipped the leads. "In stalls" I said and they all enter their stalls on command. I went into the feed room, grabbed their feed and fed them. "Next year Lemon, I'll be at Oakwood. I'm so sorry i can't bring you" I said walking to the tack room, locking the door and doing the same for the feed room. "I'll see you tomorrow guys, be good and sleep well" I said leaving the barn and heading to the dogs yards. I feed the dogs and went back to the house. "Done mum" I said entering the house. "Okay I'm about to start dinner" mum said cleaning the bench. "Ok mum, I'm going to go to my room, Skype Zoe, do some homework and start looking at what I need to get for Oakwood" I said leaving the kitchen and going to my room. When I got to my room, I turned my laptop on and  turned on skype. "2 Missed calls. 1 from Zoe and 1 from Aleks" the screen said. 'I'll call Aleks later' i thought. I clicked on Zoe's picture and clicked call. "Pick up Zoe" I said. She did not pick up, so I did my homework.

1 HOUR LATER - Time about 6pm

"Sophie dinners done, come eat please" Mum called from the bottom of the stairs. "Coming Mum" I said closing my laptop. I went down stairs to eat dinner.

Hey guys ill try and post on a sunday or monday my time. Sorry if its a bit short. The next chapter is going to be when Sophie goes to Oakwood.
