Valentina had just returned to Barcelona after her trip. It was time to settle back in since her brother, Pedri, was starting training for the upcoming season.

"Hey, don't kill me, but I'm going somewhere and won't be back until tomorrow afternoon," Pedri said, leaning in her bedroom doorframe as Valentina was unpacking her suitcase.

Valentina rolled her eyes, already knowing what was coming. "Seriously, Pedri? You couldn't have told me earlier? Now I have to call Mum and Dad last minute to stay with me."

Pedri just shrugged, clearly not bothered. "You're fine. Just call Sophia, she'll stay with you." He tossed her phone onto her bed casually, clearly not thinking about anyone else. "Or just hang out at home. I don't care. I'll be back tomorrow."

Valentina picked up the phone, annoyed. "I can't believe you're doing this again, leaving me alone when you know I don't like it."

Pedri laughed. "You're fine. I'm sure Ferran will be around to babysit you, right?"

Valentina's eyes widened. "Ferran? Why would you—"

But before she could finish her sentence, Pedri had already started walking out the door. "Bye! Don't cause trouble. Love you!" He waved, oblivious to what he had just said, and slammed the door behind him.

Valentina groaned, staring at the door for a moment before sighing and typing a quick text to Ferran: "Hey, I'm home alone tonight. If you're free, wanna hang out?"

After a few moments, Ferran texted back: "On my way."

She smirked to herself. Typical Ferran—always quick to drop whatever he was doing to come help her out. Ferran had a spare key to her place, just like Pedri, so he didn't need to knock when he arrived. The door swung open, and he walked in casually, calling out as he did.

"Hey, thanks so much for coming," Valentina said with a smile, walking over to hug him.

Ferran grinned. "Anytime. I know your brother can be a pain with last-minute plans."

"Don't remind me. Anyway, I didn't feel like cooking, so I ordered pizza."

Ferran raised an eyebrow. "Pizza, huh? Good choice." He dropped his bag on the couch and sat down next to her. "What movie are we watching?"

"I get to pick! You're just here to eat pizza and enjoy the ride," she said, tossing a blanket over herself and settling into the couch.

Ferran laughed, grabbing the remote. "The Longest Ride? Really? You're going to make me cry, huh?"

Valentina just shrugged, a smirk on her face. "Hey, if you cry, I won't judge you."

As the pizza arrived, they both dug in, and the movie started. But by the time it ended, they had eaten way too much pizza and were now in a heated FIFA match. Surprisingly, Valentina was on fire, winning round after round.

"Round three winner is me!" Valentina shouted, jumping up and down with glee, running laps around the living room. "I'm the FIFA champion!"

Ferran chuckled, raising his hands in mock defeat. "Okay, okay. But I let you win. I could totally destroy you if I wanted to."

Valentina grinned, clearly not buying it. "Sure you did. You're just mad because I'm the true FIFA queen."

She jumped back onto the couch, landing beside Ferran, her excitement bubbling over.

The mood shifted as Ferran placed a hand on her shoulder and leaned in closer, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. Valentina, feeling the warmth of his touch, looked up into his eyes. The tension was palpable, and without a word, she leaned in, capturing his lips in a kiss.

It wasn't just any kiss—it was full of emotion, like they had both been waiting for this moment for far too long. Ferran pulled her closer, their lips never parting as they moved toward her bedroom for some privacy.

As they reached her bedroom, Ferran's phone buzzed in his pocket. He looked at it briefly, seeing Gavi's name flash across the screen.

Gavi: Bro, where you at?
Ferran: Uh... kind of busy right now, Gavi. What do you need?
Gavi: You out with Valentina or what?
Ferran: Yes, I'm out with her. Why?
Gavi: Haha, nice! Just checking. You good?
Ferran: Yeah, I'm good. Relax.
Gavi: Ayo, don't do anything I wouldn't do, alright?

Ferran sighed, trying to focus on the moment, but before he could reply, the phone buzzed again.

Gavi: Bro, I'm calling you in 5 minutes to check on you.

Ferran sighed. "Gavi, seriously?"

Before Ferran could put the phone down, it rang again. He glanced at the screen—Gavi was calling.

Gavi: Yo, Ferran, if you keep hanging out with her, you're gonna get killed by Pedri when he finds out.

Ferran's face immediately flushed. "Dude, seriously?"

Valentina, hearing this, reached over and grabbed his phone, quickly hanging up with a smile. "Not today, Gavi."

Ferran chuckled nervously. "I can't believe you did that."

Valentina grinned mischievously. "If Pedri finds out, we'll deal with it later. Right now, I think we have better things to do."

Before Ferran could respond, she pulled him in for another kiss, and they made their way to her bedroom, leaving Gavi's phone call and any potential consequences behind them.

Meanwhile, Pedri was off doing his own thing, totally oblivious to what was happening at home. He was too busy training for the upcoming season to worry about his little sister.

But somewhere in the back of his mind, he couldn't shake that feeling that maybe he should've kept a closer eye on his best friend Ferran... just in case.
