Six in the morning. That's the exact time you should've clocked in at the station. Any good cop would've been there on time, but unfortunately for them, you were a great cop. Probably the best there ever was, so you make the rules for yourself. And today you felt like doing what you wanted to do, so that's exactly what you were gonna do. It's eight in the evening.

"Yo, yo! Wassup, Jeff!?"

"(Y/n)? What in the bloody hell are you doing here again? Come on, you've been here way too much today."

That's Jeffrey, the cashier at the nearest convenience store to your house. And also, too much? Who's counting? You. And you've been here for the thirteenth time today, which is not that much, really.

"Couldn't I come and visit my pal Jeffrey every once in a while? Come on, now. You hurt my feelings."

You stood there for a moment before bursting into laughter as he sighed and rolled his eyes, before staring into yours. Damn, he must be so captivated by your eyes that twinkle in the moonlight that- Yeah, no. He was looking at your prosthetic eye that you were using to scan the whole place.

"Don't you have work, dude? Like, bring your weirdo ass over to your workplace sometime, man, maybe then you'd actually have friends."

"Whatchu mean? I'm at work right now. And you're my friend, right?"

"Whatever, man. Just go buy your stuff."

Well, that's exactly what you were gonna do anyways. Walking down the aisles towards the refrigerators, you looked at each beverage that you passed by. Water? Great, but no thanks. Fruit juice? Nah, not really your style. How about energy drinks? Blech. It wasn't long before your hands grasped the holy grail of drinks. Choccy milk. Hell yeah.

With some pep in your step you sauntered back towards the cashier and placed down your grocery on the counter, leaning on it as you placed the appropriate amount down.

"So, how's the day been?"

"I don't wanna do small talk."

"Ah, but you can make small talk to that pretty lady three visits ago all fine and dandy, hm?"

"I- You- Shut the hell up man, just buy your stuff and leave."

"Yeah, well, how about you get ready to duck behind that counter?"

"What? Are you... threatening me, dude?"

"It's a warning, brother man."

Unnerved. That was the only word that could accurately represent what Jeffrey felt from your words. Just because he didn't actually like you at all doesn't mean you were gonna shoot him for it, right? Right...?

As for you, you tilted your body to the side slightly, discreetly profiling the only other person inside the store. So, what gives, right? Well, it was the fact that the man had a concealed carry firearm underneath his jacket. But (Y/n), doesn't Michigan have conceal carry licenses? Yeah, well, it would've been fine. But you've been tracking this man for the whole day. Or more appropriately, not a man at all. Cause underneath his hood, you could see the faint glow of an LED. What's an android doing with a gun?

Well, it was probably deviant things. Always so irrational.

"Yo!" you call out, causing the android/deviant to flinch. "Yeah, yeah, nobody else is around here, of course I'm talkin' to you! Just wanted to ask something, man."

"I- Uh- Yes?" The android raised its head, looking at you with wide eyes. "W-What is it?

Alright. Show time.
