The fall breeze hits my face as I walk out of my apartment complex. Well I don't own it, I live with my parents since I am still in high school. I almost slip down the stairs and start walking, in New York city the streets are busy so I have to walk or taxi everywhere. Thankfully my favorite book store is only down the street. I shove my hands into my pockets as I look up at all the tall buildings. New York is so beautiful. I love everything about it. I get a waft of pizza as I walk the streets. I slowly approach the door of the bookstore. The door swings open and almost hits my forehead.

"Ow what the hell?" I say backing away from the door.

"My bad, I'm sorry about that." he says. I look up and see this boy around my age. God. It was Weston. He is one of the popular guys at my school. Why was he in the bookstore, I've never once seen him even touch a book in his life and we've been going to school together for almost our whole lives. He is so stuck up, he probably doesn't even know my name though.

"Whatever, it's okay Weston." I say while having a hand to my forehead.

"I really am sorry, Hazel. I didn't see you." he says with a straight face.

Wow, I'm surprised he actually knows my name. "You know the door is clear and there is a big window in the front of the store, right?"

"I wasn't paying attention, I was leaving in a hurry." he says, starting to get annoyed

"Why?" I ask. Oh god. Why am I asking stupid questions, to Weston. Out of all people.

"Not that it's your business but I need a tutor."

"I thought that Amanda Bingo was  your tutor..." I say

"She was. We meet at this book store every Tuesday at 7. Today, she got mad at me for not listening and said that she's not going to tutor me anymore, and no amount of money is worth it." Weston says as he moves his hand to the back of his neck.

"If you need one that badly, I guess I could tutor you." I say, moving my head down trying to hide my blush

"Oh really? That would be perfect. Here's my number and I will text you the information about what I need help studying. You need to promise that you will actually help me. I need to have my grades up for basketball season coming up." He says as he grabs my phone, and types his number in.

"Okay, I guess I'll talk to you later." I say as I go to walk into the bookstore.

"Yep, I'm sorry for hitting you with the door, I really didn't see you." He says with a laugh as he walks away.

I walk into the bookstore, my favorite place. It's just so cozy, books everywhere, lounging chairs, people drinking coffee, and you can just feel the energy in the air. I have no idea what just happened with Weston. I surprised myself with actually talking to him. I usually am super awkward and cant keep a conversation going. God why did he had to hit my head with the door. Something is seriously wrong with me right now. Why did I actually enjoy that conversation with him?

I grab a sit in my normal corner of the store, and spend the rest of my night studying and reading.

A/N Hey guys! Hopefully this is good so far, I haven't really wrote much so this book is going to be kind of long but not crazy long. It might take a while to update but I will try my best! Love you! <3
