Zayn groaned as he woke up feeling dreadful and tired despite having had a good sleep. "Haz, 'time is it?" he asked rolling over onto his side reaching out to touch Harry but was met by an empty space. He opened his eyes, and lifted his head looking around the room for him, Harry wasn't there. He sighed rolling back onto his back, taking a glance at an alarm clock sat on the nightstand.

07:15 am was the time meaning Harry would be in the kitchen making breakfast for their kids who were now old enough to get ready and dressed for school without supervision. Even seven year old Leo was independent and meticulously tidy for his age. Frankly Zayn thinks the youngest of his children could be borderline OCD, it's too early to tell but he was keeping an eye on him.

The kids leave for school at 08:30am, it was still early enough. He closed his eyes again, taking a moment to meditate. That proved a challenge, the bedroom door was open he could hear all sorts of noises, someone talking loudly downstairs, he guessed that'll be Mason who's always in a good mood and never stops talking.

There was loud banging like someone opening and shutting doors, that'll be Toni who he always tells off for closing cabinet doors, any doors as a matter of fact, too roughly.

Then there was music playing quietly from one of the rooms with someone singing along in a soft soothing voice, that'd be Maddison who loves singing and has a beautiful sweet voice.

"Morning, daddy." Leo greeted walking in the room and went to open the blinds. "Time to wake up."

Zayn opened his eyes and muttered "Jesus" as bright morning light shone in his face. He had to squint his eyes to look at him, Leo was fully dressed in school uniform. "Morning, Leo."

Leo climbed on the bed and sat with legs straddling Zayn's waist. "Can I borrow your phone please?"

"Why do you want to borrow my phone?" Zayn smiled looking at him, he would have love to ruffle Leo's hair but stopped himself as his son would probably slap his arm. Leo loved cuddles but hated his hair touched.

"I want to call Alfie before I go to school. Can I please, daddy?" Leo asked giving him puppy eyes.

"O'course you can, bub, no pouting necessary." Zayn said tickling him.

"The tickling is unnecessary, daddy, you're going to mess up my hair." Leo giggled trying to get away.

Zayn got hold of him, wrapped his arms around Leo's small body, tickled him some more, "That's payback for opening the blinds and shining light on my face_"

"Time out!" Leo cackled, "Time out, daddy!"

"Okay. Time out." Zayn chuckled letting him roll onto the bed. He looked at him fondly as his son continue giggling. In last two years his children had grown a lot and with that their appearances changing as well. Leo had Brooklyn's personality but was a spitting image of Yasmeen. "You had breakfast yet?"

Leo shook his head, "Papa is still making pancakes. He said to come open the curtains and tell you it's time to wake up."

"I'm awake now." Zayn rolled over to his side to face him as Leo was lying on his back in bed, "You want to call Alfie, is everything okay?"

"Everything is okay." Leo nodded, "I want to tell him to have a good day."

"Ahh." Zayn cooed taking Leo's hand and joined it with his. "I'm sure Alfie would be happy to hear your voice."

"Your hand is big, daddy." Leo smiled, playing with Zayn's fingers. "Can Alfie come back and stay with us in our house?"

Zayn bit his lip, "Alfie needs to get to know nana Moira better first okay? Remember we're going to visit them in Ireland this summer? You looking forward to that, I know I am."
