The ride in the car is intensely silent and unbearable. Steve is still stuck in his early morning dizziness as he sits beside me snoring his life out. Mum and dad are both seated at the front of mum's car with Dad at the driver side focused on the road. Mum said this is going to be a huge surprise for us. I wonder what it is but right at the moment all my mind can think of is getting revenge on the huge man sitting in front of me as my stepdad. He had me reeling all night anticipating his arrival all to no avail. I'm so going to make him pay. I don't know why I feel so furious about this but... I can't help it. I can't freaking help a single dime of it... The frustration eating away at my gut is so intense I can... I Can ...... well ....... nevermind. I am still going to get my revenge on him either way.

Mum suddenly looks back and glances at Steve. "Oh my poor sleeping boy. Looks like you must have had a late night sleep last night. "She says.

I say nothing but look out the window toying with my lips. She finally turns to me.

"Something on your mind?"  She asks and I turn to her.

"What ? No. Why did you ask?"  I reply and she chuckles.

"You  look troubled. "She  says and I smile.

"All  is well Mum. I am just taken aback by this so-called sudden surprise of heading to a new apartment." I say and she chuckles.

"Sorry  dear. sorry you had to find out this way but we decided to keep this a secret from you and Steve till we are settled. And now we are. You are soon going to find out. "She says and I sigh. I shrug.

"Well . Whatever stop suit yourself. I am not mad about anything so far it's good." I say. She beams and turns her focus Back to the front. I watch her place her hand on Dad's arm holding the steering wheel and shake my head. I immediately divert my gaze out the window. I happen to be a third wheel in that union and ....... mum doesn't even know it.

I am freaking f****** her husband. And she doesn't know. Why the hell am I not feeling remorseful about this? I feel like I have been suddenly possessed. I don't care what mom think about us. I want to keep fucking dad till every single damn lust lurking within me for that man has vanquished. I sigh deeply and fold my arms. He's so going to pay last night. let's just focus on what the sudden trip is going to hold. After this, it's revenge time.

'Are you crazy Marilyn?' I hear my mind say and blink. There goes my conscience trying to warn me  ....... I sigh and clench my fists. But how am I going to stop this? I shake my head vigorously. I shouldn't be thinking this now.

"We are almost there."  Mum announces and turns to me . I frown.
"Where?"

" Our new apartment of course. "

I look out the window to see ourselves before a large sturdy gate absolutely made of pure gold. Above it has the inscription THE GOLDEN ESTATE. I scoff and turn back to them both glancing at me with heavy smiles on their faces.

"This is an estate not a home."  I say and dad smiles. the security guards at the front approaches us. One of them observes dad and does the most shocking thing. He bows ....... I raised an eyebrow with this belief.

"Good morning mister Frederick."  He says and examines our car.

"Anything  we can help you with ?"

" No it's fine. I'm just here to take over my apartment."

"  Have a great day sir. "He says and they salute each other. I am dumbfounded as Dad drives into the estate and my mind is completely blown away. Mum was right. The inner structure of this estate ....... all I can think of is a large City.

"Oh my god."  I don't know when that sentence escapes my mouth.

" Well ,welcome to golden estate Marilyn. our new home." Mom says and I can't help smiling uncontrollably.
