Happiness in the Rain

Waiting, waiting patiently for the rain to come.
Seeing the clouds form gives hope for a little
drizzle.
I know I will feel that single drop of rain to fall
Then another and another and until I realize,
it's raining once more.
Why do I talk of rain you may ask?
This is what waiting for you is like
Clinging to that little hope
But still see it as a great chance
Reunited with the rain in the drought
Like hugging you, tightly
I feel the comfort, my heart warms
Embracing the cold rain
Then we are here under the shower of the rain
Prancing and laughing
Taking in every drop that touches our skin
But for a second I stopped to think.
I knew the reason why I waited this long
It's the joy and happiness that the rain brings
It makes the insipid and bum dry day turn to
the sing song sound of the rain
I would wait for the rain once more
In another time and sadness erased
Only then I will feel that I lived.
