Since that day, you tried to make an effort to seem friendly and smiled at him when you looked at each other in school or waved to say 'Hello'. You tried to be subtle because your friends were with you most of the time. The first few times he missed it or didn't really acknowledge it, but soon he smiled and waved back as well.
You had signed up for afterschool badminton club. After changing into your P.E. kit, you entered the hall. Trey was already there warming up and playing with his friend. You entered and joined the line for the other court.
You decided to join warm up with the others in the badminton club. Trey smiled at you as he walked over to join your group. You played a few games and tried applying what he had taught you, you were a bit sloppy but he cheered you on as the game got intense.
When it was his turn, you played as partners and he let you dominate most of the game while he took the more difficult shots. The rest of the day went smoothly and you went home smiling like an idiot.
A little bit of background information just cuz
You don't have feelings for Trey. You just thought he was very hot. You remembered him from primary-school and then didn't see him for a few years but then he seemed to have had a massive glow-up and became insanely hot during COVID and the lockdown.
At then end of grade 8 you were swooning over [insert celebrity name] and realized how similar they look. Which was a turning point in your life because no one has the right to look that hot. He was the only piece of eye-candy at school and you would always be searching for him in the hallways.
