I saluted the judges then turned back around gripping my hands on the bar. I did a good kip going straight into two front hip circles then immediately after the second one squatted on the bar. I took my hands off the bar and leaped with all my might. My hands luckily wrapped tightly around the high bar and I went straight into another kip going into a handstand. I did a couple giants switching my hands around to make myself go in different directions. Then finally I knew it was time to end and prepared for my dismount the last one I let go of the bar and went into two front tucks landing on my heels which made me fall on my butt. I was disappointed but I stood up and saluted the judges with a smile anyway.
Jackie could see the look of disappointment on my face, "You did fine she said and look at it this way beam will make up for it." She said.
I smiled at her as she got up for bars.

Beam was last. All my other events were pretty good. Beam was my favorite. Balance just came easily to me and doing tricks on beam made it more challenging and fun I thought.
I waited patiently for my name to be called I ran my routine in my head. The judges called my name and I was ready to do the routine.
I saluted the judges then was off. I'm not much of a bragger but the routine was pretty amazing. My legs were straight when they needed to be and my toes were pointed and all my tricks were smooth.
As I finished I couldn't take the smile off my face.
As I got off Miss Liz embraced me in a hug and whispered,"That was flawless. Absolutely flawless." She gave me one last smile and walked away.
"That was amazing!" Jackie said embracing me in another hug, " I know you'll get first, bravo."
"Thanks." I laughed," I know you'll get first for bars."
"You think." Jackie said bragging.

It was time for awards. We all waited patiently for the coach of Atlanta, Georgia's team to stop talking and get on with the awards. Bars was up first for awards. I squeezed Jackie's hand I know how badly she wants this award.
"In third place," the announcer said," we have Alexa Murray."
* Round of applause*
"In second place Rina Cassit."
*Round of applause*
"And in first," I squeezed Jackie's hand, "Jackie Dunan." Jackie shot up and I cheered loudly for her. I was happy for Jackie and happy that Victoria Schmidt ( my arch-nemesis, I know that sounds dramatic ) didn't place either in bars.
By beam I ended up getting third for vault and second for floor, Alanna got first for vault and Victoria got first for floor.
It was beam awards Jackie and Alanna squeezed my hands.
"In third place Ali Sander."
*Applause*
"In second place Victoria Schmidt."
*Applause*
"And in first Sydney Dawn."
I ran up to accept my award. I was so happy when I saw Victoria frown when my name was called.
"And now for all-around awards." The announcer called.
I got ready for all-around awards still happy about my win.
"In third place Rina Cassit."
*Applause*
"In second place Victoria Schmidt."
*Applause*
"And in first place Sydney Dawn."
I was so happy I shot up and ran over to get my trophy. I saw my mom cheering in the audience. I can't believe I beat Victoria! Miss Liz gave me a hug and I was congratulated by my teammates, along with my mom.
"Great job honey I'm so proud of you." She gave me a tight hug.
