A gift from the heart.

It's a hollie, jolly christmas and celebration, and merry glee was in the air. The Christmas spirit was infecting every household, and everyone across Sumeru and Tyvett, as each excited person awoke and got elated for this beautiful christmas day. In one particular household was one such couple who were enjoying the morning of this christmas dawn. The sweet melody of the dusk birds tweets echoed through the window, and Kaveh hummed along whilst his favourite seasonal tunes played loudly through the speakers. It was christmas day and archons be damned, if the blonde didn't share his joy on full volume. Everything was perfect for his dream christmas. The house was decked out in a chaos of tinsel and snowflake decoration; there was sparkling christmas tree in the corner of the living room with a great amount of presents gathered underneath; he had gotten the dreamiest sleep last night and somehow managed to convince his boyfriend to wear the ugly christmas jumper he bought, one which nicely matched his. Everything was going great and that was just the start!

Currently Kaveh was busing himself in the kitchen, getting the snacks ready for when their guests arrived, before moving on to preparing their christmas feast. He had already made Alhaitham his morning coffee and was in the midst of sipping on his own peppermint drink from his new worst roommate mug. It was a matching set that Kaveh had got as gag gifts. It was a tradition they had set up back in their academia years, where they'd exchange gag gifts in the morning and leave the sentimental ones till the evening; a traditional that got a bit spiteful when they grew apart but still always had that underlying layer of care (giving a gift that on first look seemed useless or silly but was deep down what the other needed) and now they were dating, it was back to the way it should. A warm smile spread across his face and a fuzzy feeling blossomed in his heart as Kaveh reminisced over the past. What a precious tradition.

Kaveh was lost in thought, admiring the goofy snowman earrings, Alhaitham had gifted him, when the cheeky brat sneaked in. Using years of experience of sneaking up on Kaveh, Alhaitham quietly slithered over to his boyfriend before pouncing, wrapping his arms around the other from behind and spinning the blonde in the air. Kaveh shrieked at the suddenness of being hoisted into the air, until eventually dispersing into merry laughter as the other spun him round and round, laughing in tune together. It was a soft moment that highlighted how far they had come in their relationship together. Kaveh was so happy to have Alhaitham in his life and was so proud to tell the world he was his. By the way, the other was never ashamed to do spontaneous things like this, whether in private or public (Alhaitham can be a bit jealous at times), always reassured the blonde his feelings were mutual.

"Archons, Haitham! You cheeky brat. I could've very likely dropped my mug if you weren't careful." Kaveh attempted to scold his boyfriend but it wasn't having the intended impact due to how hard he was smiling, still trying to stifle some laughs and Alhaitham knew it! Only waiting till Kaveh put his mug down, he waited little time to wrap his hands around the other's waist once again and quickly began tickling those remaining laughs out. It was such a cute sight: Kaveh weakly, trying to fight off his boyfriend whilst Alhaitham relentlessly attacked. The cherry on top was when Alhaitham finally stopped tickling him, instead turning to cup his face, pulling him in for a chaste kiss before cheekily licking the lingering cream off his face.

"Hm. Peppermint." Alhaiathm stated, with a smirk on his face,

"Oi Cheeky." Kaveh exclaimed, lightly smacking his boyfriend on the arm, but his teasing did nothing more than cause the other to hug him tighter. For the meantime the two just swayed in each other's arms as they talked.

"What did you want?" Kaveh questioned, knowing his boyfriend too well,

"What! Can't i just come see my boyfriend because i just want to?" Alhaitham responded, pouting innocently. A look that was fooling no one.
