There are three universes in this world. Each universe has their own Earths, their own, nations, their own people.
Gaea.
Terra.
Earth.
Each universe holds a seal to co-exist calmly. To not disturb the order of the world. To not let any people get in contact with the other universe.
In Gaea, the seal got rotated from one king to another king every hundred year, taking a familiar form to the king who holds it.
In Terra, the seal got protected by wizards from all over the nation. The barrier got strengthened and renewed every 10 year.
In Earth, the seal is partitioned into eight billion particles, each assigned to the people living there, in order to not let one big power accumulation in one place.
One day, there was a jump of black energy in the universe, causing a fluctuation in all across universes. Causing the seal, now taking a form of Jade Dragon, inside the emperor's palace in ancient Tang in Gaea, to crack.
This crack, opened a warp from Gaea to Terra, pushing two people from the capital city of Chang An, right to Magnolia.
