It was once again Monday. And like every Monday it brought a soul crushing feeling that often followed a good weekend. However, it hadn't exactly been a good weekend, Sage just hated school.
In all honesty she felt like she deserved a day off after completing the second trial just yesterday, and her sister shared her opinion.
"I don't see why we have to go in today... I literally just fell down the stairs", complained Dahlia as Sage drove the both of them into school.
The second trial had come with some side effects, namely feeling like her bones were a little too big for her body, it was disconcerting at best and had left a string of clumsiness in the two fairies.
"I tried to convince mum but she says 'Trial sickness only passes if you keep active' whatever the hell that's supposed to mean", replied Sage with a rather large pout on her face.
Who knew that having your soul disintegrated before a goddess and then having it reforged would give you the depth perception of a toddler.
"At least this is the final week before Christmas break. Then we get two whole weeks off".
"I wish we had forever off" mumbled back her sister, and Sage was inclined to agree.

Sage was a little late for English (not that she was bothered), what she was excited for was her weekly catch up with her favorite Cullen.
"Mornin!" she greeted cheerfully as she took her seat.
Rosalie was already seated with her workbook open and the date and title already written down. The blond vampire was looking at her kind of funny as she responded "Morning".
Sage paid her no mind, pulling out her stuff and quickly copying down today's title. She couldn't wait till they all said goodbye to Jackal and Hyde. Her mind took no seconds in drifting back to the trial as she worked.
The second trial was an odd one, it wasn't a trial to show her mastery over magic, like the first and third trials, instead it was a trial about gaining magic.
The magic Sage had gained supposedly meant she could now enter the realm of the roots without having to sacrifice her life. Theoretically meaning she would be able to see all across Forks, across Washington, at a touch of a tree.
Unsurprisingly Sage was a little reluctant to try it out, especially while her body didn't quite feel her own.
"Something is different about you today" stated Rosalie, her face twisted in a picture perfect frown.
"Omg do you like my new skirt? I got it in Seattle ages ago. I just haven't worn it before today lol" smiled Sage with a little giggle.
There was a high chance Rosalie could sense the new magic flowing through her veins but it's not like Sage was gonna point that out.
Rosalie smiled, her face relaxing as she did. She was not one bit deterred by the fairy's avoidance and games, not after a term by her side.
"Your skirt is cute. We should go shopping sometime... But no, I was referring to the fact that you've dropped your pen three times in the last ten minutes and how you walked into the desk on your way to sit down". Rosalie spoke quietly, not inhuman levels of quiet, just your average whisper, no doubt in a bid to be polite to the teacher. "I've never seen you so much as stumble, it's a little odd dont you say?"
Sage nodded along to the first part of Rosealie's sentence and completely ignored the second half. "No way.. You want to hang out with me outside of class?? Have I made it? Am I better than everyone else?"
