Complicated " Jinshi x reader"

Chapter 2

You were going back to the palace, full of products in your arms. You were informed that an other concubine gave birth to a baby, except it was a girl, Lady Gyokuyou. When you first saw her, you were first shocked by her beauty. You thought that no one could compete with Lady Lihua's beauty however you were prove wrong with Lady Gyokuyou. " Hello, Lady Gyokyuyou, its a pleasure to finally meet you. Congratulations about your girl. She is very beautiful just like you. I forgot to present myself, I'm Y/n L/n, i'm a lady in waiting for Lady Lihua." You bowed in front of the concubine. " Hello Y/n-chan, Its nice to meet you.  I think we will be on great terms. "

" Please excuse me but I have leave to be with Lady Lihua and her new born" 

" Alright, then. Goodbye" She smiled at you and wave at you as you went back to work.

.・゜゜・ A month later ・゜゜・．

A mysterious 'curse' / disease has made sick the prince and his mother as well as the other concubine's daughter. No one found a cure to heal them, even the doctor. You were worried sick about Lady Lihua and her baby. She didn't deserve this. You tried to solve this mystery but didn't find any clue to a medicine apart that it was poison. This event made you meet the eunuch Master Jinshi, you heard about him before, a rumor saying that he was incredibly awesome/beautiful. And seeing fron your own eyes, you would tell that the rumor was true but you didn't fell for his charm. He was awesome, yes, however you don't judge just from the looks.  Lady Lihua were becoming more and more agressive because of her illness along with her baby's health. 

After a month, you grew closer to Mao Mao, since she was in a same situation as you. ( Kidnapping her ) You knew that she was a apothecary before, so you explain to her, your suspicions about the case around the palace. She agreed with your suggestions so she helped you out to save the prince and the princess. Then Maomao and you found the poison, it was the powder. 

You hurried to inform Lady Lihua, " Lady Lihua, this is poison in this ! you must not use it anymo-! " You tried to inform her but was slapped on the cheek. The force has brought you down, " How dare you ! How a powder could hurt me and my baby ! it's absurd! Get out of my face before i kick you out !" Tears were in the corner of your eyes. Not letting tears fall, you stood up and start walking away. Giggles could be heard behind you " She totally deserves it, haha!" " Aww, I was hoping that Lady Lihua would kick her out" " Finally, this bitch learned her place" 

You ran off to seek comfort from Mao Mao, letting the tears flow. " Mao Mao... *hic* I was just trying to warn her *hic* " Mao Mao just hugged you, rubbing your back to comfort you. " I will try an other method"

It was night time, when you enter the chamber of Lady Lihua. Opening the drawer quietly, you pulled out the powder. Before closing the drawer back, you took a look of her baby and her. ' They look so pale'. You walk on tiptoe trying to not make a sound, after outside the chamber, you sight in relief. 'Now they will be saved' Starting to walk away, a hand yanking you toward the figure, it was an other lady in waiting. Your eyes widened, you didn't expect anyone to be awake.

" What are you doing ?! " She noticed the powder in your hand, she yanked it from your hand " Are you trying to steal from Lady Lihua ? I knew you were a bitch but not a thief ! You should be ashamed ! " 

" Wh-What no !! I'm not trying to steal from Lady Lihua. I'm just trying to save her from the poison inside of it!" 

" Still on this stupid story ? It doesn't make sense your dumb stor-!"

" WHAT IT IS GOING ON HERE ? THIS LATE ??" She was interrupted by a guard. The lady showed to the man " This lady here tried to steal from Lady Lihua because it has 'poison'  in there " 

" Miss, if you please follow me "

" No-! You miust understand that it's what makes Lady Lihua sick! I'm just trying to Help her !"

" An other word and you will be executed, Understood ?"

" Yes, sir" You were looking down all the time, when you looked up, you saw her smirking at your misery.

After this incident, you were sent again to normal servant. Your reputation has deteriorated but at least you were glad to be beside Mao Mao. As last resort, to save the babies, Maomao and you wrote on fabrics the reason of their illness and attached it to flowers.

To spend time, Mao Mao taught you more about poison and you loved it. From venom to medicine, you knew all information now.

.・゜゜・ Some days later ・゜゜・．

The news of the prince's passing flew everywhere. Knowing Lady Lihua, she was probably crying her heart out inside her room. You were saddened that she didn't believe you or the message that she ignored. However, Lady Gyokuyou, has read the message left with the flower and manage to save her daughter. All the palace was sad. 

You were discussing with Mao Mao and a brunette girl about the prince, when you were ask to go to the Matron of Serving Women. After all the servant were here, you all enter a room waiting for Master Jinshi.

You mumbled to Mao Mao " Why do you think they summoned us ?"

" I don't know but It can't be good news... or maybe they just want more workers" She mumbled back 

Then a voice spoke " Thank you all for coming" Girls starting blushing and stuttering because of the man's beauty. " This is Master Jinshi, he's the eunuch everyone is talking about" you informed Mao Mao " That's a waste, He's so handsome but he can't have children." 

"A shame is it " You observe as he started writing down something. Then he lifted the paper

 'You with the freckles with your friend with curves, both stay her'

' Oh, no ! He caught us' shocked along with Mao Mao. " We're done here. You may all return to your rooms." He said calmly. You started to stress, Not noticing you were trembling ' Did we do something to get attention ?! Wait....did the message from the other day... Ah! I forgot that we are the onlt servants who can read!'

Mao Mao took your hand, starting to quickly walk away when a hand blocked you on your shoulder "  Come now, I just told both of you to stay. Just keep quiet and follow me" Mao mao pulled his hand from you.  Then Mao Mao and you start following Jinshi. She was still hold your hand reassuring you. " This odd, It said that you couldn't read" 

" It must be a mistake, sir" You noticed that you enter the Jade Palace, the residence of Lady Gyokuyou. You hear a faint' Come in'. This is when you noticed that the door was door and saw the concubine with her baby. " Thank you for your trouble" You noticed the Princess giggling and smiling, she was healthy again. " We're so glad" you smiled slightly. 

" So, it was your work, both of you."
