(TW smoking, injury, blood, swearing)
Astrid walked into the school, groaning as she looked at her schedule, the lesson she was having was of course wing training, and Astrid despised it.
"This day just went from absolutely angelic to piss"
Astrid said, sighing in annoyance as Nora looked over to Astrid's schedule, grinning teasingly."Oh don't be such a baby, fighter, you'll fight your way through"
Nora said poking Astrid's arm, Nora giggled as Astrid takes a deep breath. This girl will be the death of me, Astrid thought to herself."What lesson do you have then, fuck face, hmm?"
Astrid's lips curved into a smirk as she waited for Nora to answer, Nora looked down at her paper and then up at Astrid, her expression becoming pale."Biology with Mr Anderson"
Nora said quietly, her mouth forming into a line. Astrid is a good friend, of course, she is, but this, this was just sad and fucking hilarious."Not so funny now, huh?"
Astrid said, wrapping an arm around Nora. Nora now getting back to reality, looked pissed, clenching her fist. Astrid realising it might not be a good time for teasing, backed away a step."Well then buddy, have a great time with Mr. Anderson then, give me some biology facts when you're back"
Nora didn't say anything back so it was probably best for Astrid to walk away.Astrid walked into class just in time, talking to Nora did make her have to hurry a bit, but it was worth it, to see her get that evil grin off her face, Astrid thought.
"Hello class, today we are gonna train our wings"Huh, maybe this lesson won't just be learning techniques for how to take care of my wings, how interesting of her, Astrid thought.
"As you may know this is not the lesson I usually have, so I'll need to go through a set of rules"
And at that moment Astrid zoomed out, too bored to listen to these rules again. Thinking about how funny Nora looked when she found out she had biology, Astrid giggled quietly, not realizing that Mrs Young gave her a harsh look.It took Mrs. Young a minute to explain and then the training had begun, Astrid spread out her wings, she usually didn't have them out, but when she did it was damn relaxing. Astrid now looked over her shoulder at her wings, flapping them up and down as the minutes went by and eventually flying up into the air.
The wind swept across Astrid's face as she felt truly free, flying was a big hobby of hers and she'd been doing it for years now.
She felt like a bird, technically she almost was.The lesson went on and after an hour the bell rang, Astrid immediately rushed out of the classroom, not caring if Mrs. Young gave her dirty looks. Exhausted from all the flying but quickly gaining back her energy as she took her bag and walked out of the school.
The lesson wasn't that bad, could've been worse Astrid thought to herself, wondering where Nora is. They usually meet up here.
Astrid sighed about to walk home when she heard a crash coming from behind the school, Astrid usually didn't want to get involved in anything sketchy, but something made her feel forced to go back there. Astrid closed her eyes for a second. Running to see what's happening.Astrid looked over the corner of the building to see Nora, Nora had a head wound, blood trickling down, her eyes were swollen red, and she'd definitely been crying.
Before Astrid knew what she was doing she sprinted forward to Nora, getting to her knees as she gently cradled Nora's head in her hands."Oh. My. God. Nora are you okay, what happened, who did this to you"
Astrid's eyes were wide as a sob came out of Nora's mouth and then another.
Astrid took off her sweater rubbing the fabric against Nora's wound and then gently tying the sweater around her head, Nora continued to sob and Astrid could do nothing but comfort her, a couple of minutes went by and Nora's sobs were quieter now.
