The days are finally colder
Brisk and calm and chill
As we're getting older
Years pass, go on, and still-
We celebrate the time gone by,
We reminisce through the years
And when it comes time for us to die
We quietly shed our tears.
But all the memories of times past
All the love we've shared before
Wishing the winter would forever last
That pain would be no more.
And so we gather safe and warm
Together against the cold
Celebrate holidays in every form
Until at last we're old.

this one was rlly fun ngl. it could also double as spoken word since i wrote it to sound rhythmic and it would be cool to perform. (maybe one day i'll record myself, just not now bc i am sick and my voice is nonexistent)
can't believe there's only THREE DAYS LEFT until Christmas (and two until the end of the challenge!) i'll go back and revise later - especially day 7 - but as of right now all i need to do is prepare my final day!
