Why of all the things God could bless her with, she got stuck with two left feet? Couldn't it be something useful like people had the ability to remember things by seeing them just once or maybe super strength or powerful eyesight? Anything would have been better then not been able to walk straight for more than few steps.

She picked herself up and brushed away the invisible dust she had seen somewhere on her pants. It was such a struggle being a clumsy person. It had cost her some huge trouble in past but somehow gravity just refuse to work with her feet. Just remembering how she broke the ice statue which was so proudly standing on her mother's largest client's clothing line party made her shudder. She would probably be the first one to go down in a horror money due to her talent in falling on her face and honestly, if she ever did end up in a horror movie she will not even bother to run anyway at least so when they find her corpse, it doesn't have open wounds for them to stich up. She would rather look pretty while she lay in her burial vault.

As for the ice statue, she could swear she was pushed but due to her very long history with just incidents, nobody believed her.

"You okay?" Kate asked while offering her hand to her.

"Yeah, it is like breathing now."

Kate laughed and took her hand- dragging her outside. She was usual capsule of happiness especially since she got that ex-player boyfriend. Nia didn't know much about love but from what she did, it seemed to make people brain dead these days. The fact that her friend wasn't afraid of catching some weird disease of that man was somehow remarkable to her.

"Where are we going?" Nia asked when she got in the car with Kate.

"Tyler texted me something about his best-friend who came out of town and to come over. We just need to pick up Jenny."

"Another best friend? Other than Isaac and Ben?

"Yeah, it's the other one."

"You mean the one who used to bang girls and then dump them like no tomorrow with your boyfriend?"

She knew Kate was glaring at her and she turned to give her a question look not understanding her anger towards her.

Kate glared didn't last that long seeing how Nia was still staring back at her completely obliviously. Her large eyes just looking at her patiently to explain herself.

"You know, I sometimes think you lack the ability of read the situation." Kate finally sighed and turned her eyes back to the road.

"Are you calling me insensitive?"

"No, more like an airhead."

"Isn't that a polite way to call someone insensitive?"

She knew Kate was looking guilty now. She couldn't help but laugh. She didn't understand how she was insensitive but it's not like she minded. People tell her that a lot already so she was kind of used to it. She had always been the one to make the atmosphere somehow awkward by just opening her mouth. If not for her breaking something by falling, she can manage to ruin moments by her mouth. Yet she never found herself to be bothered by frowns people slip on when she enters a room.

They picked Jenny from her part-time job and made their way towards the apartment complex. The twenty story building was fancy in a way. Fancy meaning it had a uniformed security guard in the reception and required a pass code to enter.

The apartment Tyler, Ben and Isaac shared was on the thirteenth floor. Without even having a second though, Nia made her way towards the stairs. Kate and Jenny gave her the look which really did said, 'You are unbelievable.'
