My name is Laura Dixon. I am seventeen years old and I live in a two story cabin in the town of Creeks View, Pennsylvania. I have long blond hair and stormy grey eyes, I have a slender body but with a plump butt and nice breasts that slightly fall on the smaller side. I'm not super tall, standing at five-foot, six-inches.

My outfit for Friday is a simple indigo colored flannel shirt and dark blue jeans. My hair is up in a high ponytail and I've got my dirty cowboy boots on for when I do chores. Over that I wear a puffy, brown work jacket to help keep away the chill of the mid-November morning.

There's no need to drive anywhere, so I walk. Trees line the crumbling sidewalk as I get closer to town and I nearly stumble over a root trying to avoid the obnoxiously raised mound of concrete in the middle of the sidewalk. The county just doesn't deem our town important enough to fund for construction or road repairs. A lot of the public buildings here and houses have been the same for decades, and it really shows.

The high school I attend, Creeks View High School, is the only one in my small town. With a population of a little over one thousand residents everybody kind of knows everybody. It's hard to really escape the monotony of everyday, but there's also the small-town charm that you really get used to. Our bipolar weather, run-down nineteenth century shacks, and potholes are the most interesting qualities of Creeks View.

Pushing through the double-doors of school I immediately spot Warren, my best-friend. He's six inches taller than my five-foot, six-inch height. He has dark blond hair and dark blue eyes. He lost a bet over the summer to one of his buddies and shaved his short wavy hair into a buzz cut. If anything, it only accentuated his jawline and piercing ocean-like eyes. He's grown up on a farm, and waking up at the crack of dawn each morning to distribute hay bales, fixing fences, and weeding gardens under the blazing sun has done him a lot of good. His skin is a golden tan and his shirt is pulled tight over the muscles underneath.

We've practically grown up together, meeting for the first time at a creek down the road from his farm. He was actually mad at me when we initially met when he saw me catching crawfish from his creek. As a kid I liked to push other people's buttons, I liked to find what made them upset and really see how far I could edge myself on their cliff of self-pride. To my seven year old self, it was pretty funny to see a scrawny little kid getting so worked up over little crustaceans. Truly from that day on, Warren and I have been inseparable. Originally, Warren said he only hung out with me to keep an eye on me and to make sure that I didn't overharvest the critters in his creek. But overtime, I think I just grew on him.

"Hey, Rory!" Warren greets me, he drags me into a quick hug as I walk up to him.

"Hi Ren." I chuckled.

We fell into easy conversation as we walked to our first class. There we met up with our friend Paige and her boyfriend Vincent.

Paige has short, shoulder-length, brown curly hair. She has a cute button nose, doe hazel eyes and a pair of big, circle glasses. She's maybe an inch or two shorter than I am. She definitely doesn't spend as much time outside as Warren and I do, with her pale, creamy white, skin.

Vincent is such a sweet soul, and he greatly compliments Paige's easy-going personality with his gentle attitude. Vince has dark skin and brown eyes, his hair is faded on the sides but slightly longer on the top. He's about five-foot, eleven-inches, an inch shorter than Warren but still much taller than Paige and me.

Their entire dynamic is enviable. Vince just absolutely adores Paige and she loves making him feel special. Vince always likes to be touching Paige, whether he's hugging her, or has his arm around her, he just likes the contact. I think it makes Paige feel secure, her parents had a pretty messy divorce (the whole town tip-toed around the topic with her). She has always looked for a constant in her life and it's amazing to see that Vincent can step in and be that solid rock for her.

Sometimes I compare their relationship to the one I have with Warren. There are feelings between me and him and of course we mess with each other. But we've just never really thought to take it further, in the very least, I haven't.

The rest of the school day goes by just fine, I'm happy to push through the doors and make my way home and get ready for the weekend.

When I get home, my mom and dad are at work and I choose to change out of my jeans and into a long pair of blue flannel pants and a plain grey sweatshirt. My day wasn't even super busy or overly difficult, but in the moment all I want to do is take a good nap. There's no reason for me to set a timer for homework or wake up for any assignment deadlines. I let myself just sink into my bed and bury my body under the covers, and I take my after-school nap deep into the night.
