Narad Muni, was journeying across the vast expanse of the earthly realm, meticulously observing the unfolding events of mortal existence.

As he traversed through the realm, his keen eyes observed all the gods, Yakshas, Gandharvas, and even the formidable asuras had descended upon the earthly plane, assuming mortal forms, all with a noble purpose, to alleviate the profound sorrows that plagued Bhudevi.

As he continued his journey, Narad Muni observed the actions of the kings ruling over the different kingdoms. He saw them oppressing the weak, exploiting their power and wealth for their own gain, and heaving the earth of its resources without any regard for the consequences. The foremost of all these oppressors was Kamsa.

He also saw that many Danavas and daityas, who were dislodged from heaven, had once again flocked Bharatvarsh and were oppressing innocent humans, increasing the suffering of Bhudevi.

A disquieting realization began to dawn upon the Devarshi. Something was amiss, like a significant melody missing from a symphony.

"Narayan-Narayan ! Prithvi ki yeh durdasha ho rahi hai, sabhi devtao ne janm lena shuru kar diya dushto ke naash hetu parantu Prabhu ne abhi tak avtaar nahi liya ?" He muttered.

A profound sense of unease gripped the sage's heart, weighing it down with an indescribable worry. Driven by an insatiable curiosity and an overwhelming sense of urgency, Narad Muni went straight to Vaikunth.

The gates of the supreme abode parted, and Narad Muni went inside. He approached Narayan, who was reclining upon the divine serpent, Shesha, in the midst of his consort, Mata Lakshmi.

After offering his respects, Narad spoke, "Narayan, sabhi devtao ne apne ansh sahit prithvi par janm lena prarambh kar diya hai. Yeh sab adharmi Rajao ke naash hetu kiya jaa raha hai. Parantu, inn rajao ki niyati toh aapke haath mei hai. Nar Narayan ko bhi avtarit ho jana chahiye, lekin woh abhi tak nahi huye. Aisa kyu ?"

Vishnudev kept smiling as Narad continued, "Swarg se nikale jaane ke baad sabhi Asur prithvi par janm le, Bhudevi ko kasht de rahe hai. Aisa hi ek Daitya, Kaalnemi, jisko aapne tarakmaya ke yudh mei parajit kiya tha, Kamsa ke roop prithvi ko atankit raha hai. Aur keval Kamsa hi nahi, Keshi, Arishta, Pralamba, Dhenuka, Putna, Chanur, Mushtik, Narakasur adi, sabhi praaniyo ko peedit kar rahe hai."

Pausing for a moment, Narad Muni joined his hands in front of his lord, and requested, "Chaahe woh prithvi par ho, Sagar mei ho ya fir Swarg mei hi kyu na ho, yeh sabhi Asur keval aapse bhayebhit rehte hai. O Shridhar, aapke alawa inka vadh aur koi nahi kar sakta. Kripiya aap swayam prithvi par jaa, inn sabhi ka vadh kar, Bhudevi ka kalyaan kijiye."

"Mai jaanta hu Narad," Narayan smiled, "Ki kis Danav aur kis Daitya ne kaunsa roop liya hai. Mai yeh bhi jaanta hu ki kiska annt kab, kaha aur kaise hoga. Mai shigreh manushya yoni mei janm le, Kamsa aur anya sabhi Asuro ka vadh karunga."

------------

The daughter of King Devak, Rajkumari Devaki knelt before the ancient altar in the temple of Narayan, her hands clasped in fervent prayer. Her eyes were closed, a serene expression on her face as she sought blessings for her impending marriage.

The flickering flames of the oil lamps cast a warm glow on her delicate features, and the sweet aroma of incense filled the air around her.

Her handmaidens and friends stood a few paces behind her, exchanging knowing smiles. They could not contain their excitement at the thought of their beloved princess finally finding happiness in marriage. They whispered among themselves, their laughter bubbling up and filling the sacred space as they watched Devaki in silent amusement.

As Devaki finished her prayers and rose to her feet, her friends couldn't help but tease her gently.

"Rajkumari ke mukh ki prasannta toh dekho." One handmaiden said.

Another chuckled and replied, "Kyu nahi hogi prasann ? Aryavart ke sabse Sundar purush ke saath jo vivah hone jaa raha hai."

Devaki blushed while holding the sacramental plate in hand, "Satao mat mujhe." She said suppressing a smile.

"Ha ha. Ab tumhe satane ka adhikaar toh Vasudev ji ka hi hai." One friend teased causing all to laugh.

Blushing furiously, Devaki tried to hush them, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Another friend looked at the princess and said, "Parantu maine suna hai ki Vasudev apni patni Rohini se atyant prem karte hai. Aise mei unke hridaye mei apna sthaan kaise banaogi ?"

Devaki smiled, "Yadi unke hridaye mei Rohini hai, toh mai Rohini ko badi behen maan, unki sewa kar apna sthaan bhi Shurasenputra ke hridaye mei bana lungi."

The temple reverberated with the exuberant peals of their laughter, resounding through the sacred halls as they gracefully exited.

As Devaki emerged from the temple's threshold, her gaze was immediately captivated by the sight of her cousin brother, Kamsa, awaiting her arrival with a smile on his face.

"Bhaiya ?" Devaki beamed as she hurriedly climbed down the temple steps, "Kaha chale gaye the aap ? Itne dino dikhe nahi."

Kamsa chuckled as he embraced his beloved sister, "Bas tere vivah ke taiyaariyo mei vyast tha."

He then turned and pointed at the servants carrying trays of opulent jewelleries and regal garments, "Yeh sab tere liye hai, behen."

Devaki gazed at the gifts, and then glanced back at Kamsa, smilingly she said, "Mujhe inn sab ki iccha nahi hai bhaiya. Mujhe toh keval aapka aashirwad chahiye."

"Mai toh sadev yahi chaahta hu Devaki, ki tu sada prasann rahe, mere adarniya mitra Vasudev ki priya bani rahe aur apne sasural mei samragini ban raaj kare." He smiled caressing her head, lovingly.
