! KALANI EXHALED THE SMOKE HOLDING
the blunt in between her fingers whilst looking down at her phone. what her mother had said to her truly hurt her, it was funny seeing someone she loved the most say something like that

she never really used to smoke, but she's been doing it often to numb the pain. it had been a week since her mother took away her phone, and she only got i back today

she had been trying to keep as distant as possible from her mother but it was hard being that the two lived together. kalani inhaled the smoke before putting her blunt down, paying no attention to her dark midnight surroundings

her phone began to buzz,

INCOMING CALL FROM "ETHAN🤍"

she smiled to herself before swiping right to accept the call, she realised she hadn't responded to all the text messages Ethan had sent her while she was grounded

"Ni Ni?" she heard Ethan's raspy voice call out as soon as the line connected, "mhm?" she replied quitely, loudly enough for Ethan to her though, "lani where are you? you good?" ethan spoke, sounding worried each word

Ka'lani looked down at her blunt with her low red eyes, before ashing it out as the smoke filled her surroundings.

"I'm at the park." lani mumbled, ethan replied with a simple "aii" Before he hang up.

ka'lani watched as the sky turnt pitch black and her phone blow up with messages of her mother asking where she is or telling her to come back home. she ignored every single one of them

because why was she acting like she cared all of a sudden?

ka'lani rolled her eyes putting her phone on dnd, taking out her airpods as she saw ethan approaching her. the two lived quite close, and extremely close to their local park. so it didn't take him long to get her

"ni ni ive been nonstop calling yo ass why ain't you reply?" ethan spoke as soon as he got closer, sitting down next to the girl whom was extremely high

"sorryyyy my ma took my phone." she dragged as ethan just looked at her. "since when you smoke?" he quizzed seeing that the only time he seen her smoke was when she was with him

Ka'lani shrugged looking at her ashed out blunt before putting her attention back on him.

"you been crying?" he softly rasped lowering his head to get a proper look at the girl, she shook her head no instantly before he lifted her chin up, "don't lie to me lani."

"I'm good ethan" she lied, trying to get the attention off her. ethan played with her hair as he moved closer towards her, "Ian see you in nun of the classes we got together." ethan began as kalani sighed

she would always skip her classes because she was just too tired.

the teachers would always pick on her for no reason and she'd either end up in detention, or walking out the classroom because she could not deal with these stupid ass teachers

"I'll be in tomorrow" She replied as she also played with his hair.

PHYSICAL TOUCH, was like the two's love language. Ka'lani loved how touchy ethan was, and Ethan loved how touchy she was, but what he loved the most was how ka'lani was always worrying about him

she'd always ask him if he ate, because one thing about her she'd always make sure her friends were straight. same with Ethan

"you better be, class be for real boring without you
real shit." Ethan truthfully said, during class when the two were together it felt like the classes went quicker

Ka'lani softly laughed while playing with the boys curly hair.

"ka'lani why were you crying?" ethan quizzed again, knowing damn she was crying. "my mama always be saying shit." she replied, deciding to just tell him before she honestly trusted someone

she was ATTACHED to him

"what she say?" ethan asked, tilting his head abit as Ka'lani let go of his hair resting her hands on her head as she just admired him

"she basically just said that she wished she put me up for adoption." Ka'lani replied, tryna laugh it out but she knew deep down that shit hurt, "and this wasn't even the first fucking time she said shit like this. like I try so hard to be good enough for her ass but she never seems to notice.

and whenever I try talk to someone they just don't fucking understand. or when I try open up they just use that shit against me." The girl whom was now crying blabbered

but that wasn't even half of it. at this point she wasn't even talking about what her mother said to her, she just let everything out.

she was tried of keeping everything in, but at the same time she feared history would repeat itself.

"why you stop talking?" ethan questioned being that he was actually listening to the girl and not just ignoring her, "you can't just keep everything in Ni ni, I care about you. ya feel me? you can talk to me."

the boy softly exclaimed. "I feel like I'm talking too much." the girl nervously spoke looking down at her acrylics

nervously playing with her bracelets, looking over to see Ethan still had his on

"nah you straight ma," the boy replied, keeping his gaze on the girl
