Chapter 21

1 Day until they visit

Bella's pov

I'm so excited to go back home for a week . I miss everyone. I went to Hayes' room to see if he was ready for the park. When I went into his room he was yet again on his phone. Hayes you do know that when we go to the park your phone will be confiscated by me. Yea yea he said. So are you ready I said. Hold on I gotta shower quick and do me a favor he said can you pack for me. Ok but hurry up I said. I packed up Hayes clothes and all until I found this letter that says from Mia on it. The letter says

Dear Hayes,

I overreacted on graduation night I shouldn't have tried to breakup with you. I know you only caught Bella because you didn't want to ruin your rep and I get that. I know that Bella means nothing to you . Please write back when you find this letter .

I felt bad that I broke them up. Graduation was a month ago and that's the day that Hayes saved me. I'm grateful for Hayes but I feel bad that I ruined Hayes and Mia's relationship.

Hayes just got out when he saw me holding the letter and he said what's this. He started to read it and after 10 seconds he through it out. Hayes I said. Uh huh he said. Did I break you and Mia up. Yes and no. What's that supposed to mean I said. When I caught you I discovered that I liked you better then her and she didn't like that. Oh I said. Yup he said back. Let's go I said . Wait I said really quick Hayes give me the phone . C'mon please ? He asked. Nope I said and locked it in my room.

On our way to the park Hayes grabbed my hand and we held hands until we got there. When we got there no one was there so we had a free park. Race you to the swings I said and we ran to the swings and talked. Did you read that letter Bella and be honest he said. Yes and I'm sorry. You do know that none of that is true he said. Um well I feel like I ruined your relationship with Mia. You didn't Bella believe me. Ok . So are you excited for high school. No because I know that I'll embarrass myself like usual. Trust me no you won't. Trust me Hayes yes I will. How about you Mr. Quarterback . Well not really he said. Why I asked. Because I know everyone will expect me to be Mr "popular". Yea the labels I said. Yea he said back. I will be labeled loser trust me on that. No Bella . Yes Hayes. No Bella he said. Yes Hayes I said. Bella how could you be a " loser" your perfect. Really . Really . Before I knew it we had leaned in and kissed again.

Hayes' pov

I know Bella is insecure but I need her to open up. She thinks she's a loser but she's not and I need her to know that. After we kissed I said are you worried because you look worried. It's nothing. Bella I see the look on your face I know something's up. Well I hope that we stay friends because right when we go back to school I know you'll forget about me. Trust me Bella I won't forget about you or this summer. Promise . I promise. After that conversation we went back home to rest up for tommorow.
