Isle Connections

Ch6 Invitation

( The Twilight Wings series will be referenced in this chapter. Also apologies if this chapter is shorter than all the others.)

B O O M-!!

The ground beneath all of you shook as if an earthquake hit the isle. Everyone stumbled about or fell over as a giant plume of smoke and dust wafted into the skies above. Sending bird pokemon flying for their lives and wild pokemon racing for cover. 

"What is happening?!," you heard Avery yell as the force of the explosion sent him stumbling forward two steps and on instinct his hands flew up to his hat to prevent it from falling off before he looked at the skies above you all. 

You waved your arms around thankfully not falling over as the throbbing quake passed but also stared up at the large cloud of dust and smoke passing through the air. You snapped your head behind you to the others finding Hop protectively hugging Gloria who must've fallen onto the ground in the middle of her push ups. They looked scared and shocked but otherwise they seemed alright. Thank goodness. Silver naturally ducked behind your legs peeking out to look around. What WAS that?! Did something explode?!

"That came from the direction of the dojo!," Hop called out to everyone.

"What if someone's hurt?!"

"Goodness gracious!," Avery shouted suddenly wide eyed and horrified before snapping around, "The Master and his family!!"

Before any of you could say anything Avery ran off faster than a scorbunny on a sugar rush. You blinked before quickly following with Silver chirping and running at your heels. 

"C'mon!" Hop quickly pulled Gloria to her feet and ran after you both. 

You four ran through the Forest of Focus back towards the dojo where the now slowly disappearing dust/smoke cloud was disappearing. Avery was in the lead one hand holding onto his hat as the pokeballs bobbed around wildly. He cleared the forest first and dashed across the clearing towards the dojo now in clear sight. You were behind him with Silver. Behind you Hop was pulling Gloria along by the arm quickly catching up to you.

"That's coming from behind the dojo!," he called out to you and Avery.

Avery didn't respond but he must've heard Hop because instead of going through the front door, Avery headed for the back. Running around the large building in worry. "MASTER!! MASTER!! PLEASE BE ALRIGHT!!"

You three all followed Avery around the giant building and towards the back of the dojo where Gloria completed the last trial. You three got there. You three froze. Eyes going wide as literal FIRE was burnt across the battlefield. In the middle of the battlefield standing there casually was a meinfoo and a giant Charizard staring in your direction curiously. What the-!? What was going on?! 

"LEON!!" "LEE!"

Two blurs of purple and brown immediately rushed past you  and ran right up to-..You blinked. LEON?! Yes. Standing before you was none other than the Champion of Galar. Leon. The purple haired man laughed happily as Hop and Gloria tackle hugged him and he happily hugged him back tightly. Next to him was Mustard smiling also, Avery who was worryingly looking over his master, and...Klara? The bubblegum haired woman was staring at a piece of paper and reading it paying no mind to anyone else.
