Hey folks! Thank you for taking the time to check this story out. Before we start with the story, I had a few things I wanted to share.
I remember leaving the theater in December of 2019, after seeing Rise of Skywalker for the first time. And unlike a lot of people at the time, I actually really enjoyed it, despite its flaws. But as it ended, I only had one question on my mind:
"What happens next?"
So an idea for a story formed, and then barreled forward into something much larger than I initially intended. I've been writing out ideas since 2020 (when I had a lot more time on my hands to do so), and earlier this year I finally started writing out what I envisioned as the first part of the story.
For Star Wars fans, imagine this as being similar to the theatrical release of the animated Clone Wars movie, which was an extended pilot for the show. So this is meant to set up the ongoing story.
I also wanted to do something a little different. Something I love to do is fancasting. When writing, it helps me to get a better picture of the character in my mind's eye and ear. So at the end of each chapter, every new character that appears that is an original creation, or does NOT have an established actor, I will give a short list of who I imagined them to be. Of course, you're more than welcome to visualize them however you want.
Finally, I just wanted to clarify one more thing: yes, I made the cover myself. Graphic design is not my forte, but if I had to choose between that and making an AI generated cover, then I'd rather just take my best shot.
