Chapter 1: What happened?

1 hour and 58 seconds.
1 hour and 58 seconds since I woke up here.
I can't seem to remember where I am, how I got here, and where I came from. Hell I can't even remember my name. Everything is so bright, so loud, so colorful, it hurts my eyes and ears. As I look around, I can see people bustling around, shouts and commands are made throughout the.. city? Is that what they call them? I rub my temple, my wavy dark hair twirling in the breeze. My emerald green eyes scanning the street. I can't fully tell whats going on, but there's a lot of people crowding around me. Why though? Someone walks up to me, she looks to be about.. 13? 14? I don't know though. She grabs my hands and pulls me up. "Mom! Get up!" She scolds me. Mom? I'm a mom? If I was, why can't I remember then? "I'm sorry, but who are you?" I utter, completely bewildered. She seems to stop mid-step, slowly turning her head to look at me, why does the way she turn her head look so.. familiar? "That's funny mom! You almost got me there!" The girl giggled, and pulled me more. I stop walking and look at her confused. "I'm being funny? I.. wasn't even joking." The girl splutters out a "w-what" and I pull away from her. "I don't know who you are, who I am, or where we are, I'm sorry." The girl looks at me confused and a little hurt. "Are you okay? Did you hit your head? You're my mom. Your name is Summer, my name is Valerie. We're in New York City." I shook my head, "I don't remember anything. I wish I could but I don't. Im sorry." Suddenly, out of the blue, some sort of memory appears. Some female, who looks kinda like me, is standing infront of some guy wearing a smiley faced mask. She points at him, anger clearly on her face, and yells at him. The guy in the mask moves towards the female, I want to shout out a warning but nothing comes out, the female stumbles backwards and the guy pushes her, drawing a sword. She does the same and the swords clash. Suddenly I'm back in the real world, Valerie looks at me like she saw a ghost. I look at the ground, trying to wrack my brain for some sort of answer as to what happened and what that was but I come up with no answer. Valerie shakes off the stunned expression and takes my hand again, dragging me home with her. Once we get home, she takes me to the kitchen, where a guy, who looks my age, is sitting at the kitchen table, paperwork spread around him and a laptop open infront of him. He looks up and smiles lightly, "Welcome home you two, how was your day out?" Valerie looked at her father then glanced at me, "it was good, though there was some sort of accident and mom forgot.. uhm.. everything." the father looked stunned and didn't know what to say, so he just stood up and walked towards me, "is this true, Summer?" I tilted my head to the side slightly, "My name is Summer then? Pretty name." The guy glanced between me and Valerie. "Valerie, go call Dr. Nap right now." Valerie raced towards the phone and dialed Dr. Nap's phone number. Suddenly, another memory flashed before my eyes, although this one was different. It was sort of first person. I was standing infront of a piglin creature, my cheeks felt wet, like I had been.. crying? I hugged the piglin creature. "Please be safe, Technoblade.. I can't lose you, not again." The piglin creature, known as Technoblade, murmured out; "I will be safe. I promise I'll come back to you. I always do in the end." We broke apart from the hug, and he turned and left. Then I was back in the real world once more. I stood there, staring off into space, there has to be a reason for these.. visions, right? Are they part of a past life? Or maybe it's just my brain coming up with some sort of fantasy? Whatever it is, I was gonna get to the bottom of it. I need to, for my sanity's sake. If I'm lucky maybe they'll make me remember everything.
