THE KITSUNE

GLANCING BETWEEN LUFFY AND ALVIDA, both of which wearing confident looks on their faces, only Alvida truly bothered by the fact that she didn't know the man standing in front of her.

Nonetheless, Luffy only puffed out his chest proudly knowing deep down that one day his name would be known across the world.

Not only as the best captain in all the seas, but as the man who found the One Piece, because that was who he would be.

"I'm Monkey D. Luffy." Luffy answered proudly with his chest puffed out further than a howler monkey, however his confidence was only met with more laughter.

The name not ringing any bells in the mind of the pirate crew surrounding them, especially not as any pirate they should worry about.

"Never heard of you." Alvida spoke softly as she placed her emphasis hat on her head, not worried in the slightest especially as she watched the three of them stand cornered on the bow of the ship.

The large amused smile on the random stowaway's face doing nothing to deter the immense smugness of the Captain as she felt there would be more bodies filling the ocean tonight.

"Well, remember the name," Luffy nearly sung a he stared the powerful captain directly in the eyes, a determined expression on his face. "'cause I'm gonna be King of the Pirates."

Turning toward Luffy with wide eyes, Delythena couldn't help but chew at the skin of her bottom lip even as she heard the echoing laughter of the alvida pirates.

Despite their less than serious attitude toward Luffy's words, Delythena had not only heard of his determination she was quickly beginning to see it.

Although, despite the carnelian red aura that was slowly beginning develop around the man, Delythena hoped he would be able to back up his determination physically.

Because if she knew Alvida, there was no way he'd be leaving this ship without some kind of a fight.

"You must be new around here, boy," Alvida nearly sneered as she began to remark, before she turned to loudly say to him and ask her crew. "because who is the most powerful pirate on the seas?"

And as one would assume a loud revocation of different forms of the captain's name, each and every pirate on the ship able to agree on the same fact; that their captain was the best captain.

But what pirate crew would neglect to praise their leader, if not for loyalty but fear of repercussions as well, yet it was every pirate except for three that exclaimed out 'Our Captain/Captain Alvida'.

Those three being the obvious Luffy, Delythena, and Koby; the voice of the second one, however, being so noteworthy that Alvida could recognize when it wasn't apparent.

"Hmm," Alvida couldn't help but nasally huff as she quickly raised her hand in the air, her swift motion silencing the lesser pirates around her.

Yet it wasn't them that she had her eyes on, in fact it was Delythena that possessed Alvida's sole attention, the woman's staring the young captive down as she stood beside Koby.

"I didn't hear you, pet." Alvida naturally scoffed, the degrading term coming out of her mouth like venom causing Delythena to quickly look up at her.

Koby moving to slightly pull the girl behind him with a small gulp, not wanting to transfer Alvida's attention, but also not wanting her to solely focus on the smaller of the two of them.

"Who's the most powerful pirate on the seas?" Alvida asked one more time, something she rarely p had to do with a wide smirk on her face as she was already anticipating Delythena's answer.

Yet once again she was only met with silence from the woman who keep her eyes on the ground, latching onto Koby's arm as she grew enough courage to not answer the captain.

"Koby," Alvida asked turning her attention over to the other person she felt she possessed full control over, yet he too was silent. "answer me, you miniscule ingrate."

The derogatory term leaving her mouth like venom as it caused both Koby and Delythena to slightly flinch back, yet neither of them answering the question.

Only standing there tired of constantly being under Alvida's thumb, berated and treated like less than crap, although they didn't truly know what they would be getting out of this rebellion.

The pair knew that after today there would be no more living under Alvida, because either she'd kill them or they'd jump overboard together in an act of ending it all.

Yet as the two stood there, once contemplating their last moments on the salty seas, and the other hoping to see another sunrise alongside his fellow captive, another voice spoke up.

"She doesn't have to," Luffy spoke drawing the attention back onto himself, that smile never leaving his face only growing a bit more blood thirsty. "neither of them do."

Hearing his voice, Delythena and Koby both looked at Luffy as if he was a ghost in the flesh, neither of them having expected him to continue going back in forth with Alvida.

Who despite her duck shaped hammer and flair for theatrics, was one of the most sadistic people the pair knew especially with her random bouts of anger.

Yet to their despair, the young man they'd just met couldn't read their minds or the thousands of warnings they were sending him mentally.

The two earlier hoping that he would somehow get them out of here, more so after they'd been caught by Alvida, but it only looked like he was digging their watery, shark filled graves instead.

"Koby's his own man and Delythena isn't a pet." Luffy's chest continue to puff as he spoke, already anticipating the fight that would soon be brewing between he and the captain.

The man tired of the constant degrading words that Alvida threw to the pair that kindly helped and fed him, furthermore, he'd never heard about her from Shanks.

So in his mind she couldn't be too powerful and even if she was, Luffy welcomed the fight in hopes of one day spreading his name across the vast ocean.

"Luffy, this might not be the time." Delythena attempted to deter the man's words, leaning forward to lightly pull at the back of his red vest.

Wanting to not let the man they just saved get himself turned into another kill under Alvida's belt, however instead he only turned back to give the girl an exaggerated wink.

One that she couldn't tell was exaggerated on purpose or just another thing the man did that seemed a bit more amusing than attention seeking.

"No, no he's not," Alvida spoke bitterly as she glared directly into Luffy's soul, not even bothering to pay attention to Delythena. "they are not."
