Penelope
I stand in front of the class staring at everyone. I hate the math teacher already and I don't even know his name.
I take a deep breath and begin speaking
"Wassup y'all my name Penelope, even though y'all already know that, um I'm 16 and I play basketball," I tell the class then sit down. As the teacher starts his lesson on the board.
"Ok, who knows what an inequality is," I zone out to what the teacher teaching and start drawing.
"Pzzz Penelope," I heard Jaheim whisper.
I look at him confused, "wassup?" I whisper back.
"What are you drawing," he asking looking at my notebook.
"Nothing," I lie as I quickly close it to stop him from looking at it. Next thing I know he snatches it out my hand.
"Give it back Jaheim," I yell as I stand up and reach for the notebook. He starts looking through it. " Give it to me Jaheim," I yell pushing him out his chair.
"Jahiem, Penelope, the halway, Now!" Yelled Mr. Robinson pointing towards the door.
I grabbed the notebook off the floor while Jaheim dusts off pants. We walk outside the class after Mr. Robinson.
"Look Penelope I know your new to this school, but we don't tolerate you putting your hands on other students, do you understand," Mr. Robinson says.
" But he took my notebook I was only trying to ...," I try to explain but he cuts me off.
"No buts Penelope, do you understand," he questions again.
"Yes," I replied back rolling me eyes.
"As for you Jaheim, you are not new and you know better than to touch others things without permission. I'm going to let y'all off with a warning but next time it will be a trip to the principals office," he explains.
"Where are you going," I ask Jaheim as he walks down the hallway.
"To my next period," he calls back a few seconds later. The bell rings and I see kids come out there class room.
