According to Dahlia, Alec's werewolf temper and vampire blood would possibly taint his warlock side. Furthermore, as a firstborn of his bloodline, Alec will inherit great, but unstable power.

Alec has the ability that no other werewolf has, he has the ability to help other werewolves stay in control while they are shifting during a full moon. And he has this ability thanks to the Hollow being inside him. Alec helps the other werewolves control their shifts by showing his blue glowing eyes which sort of helps them calm down. And not to mention Alec can also telepathically communicate with other werewolves whether they are a part of his pack or someone else's pack.
Werewolf Nature: Being part werewolf, Alec's body contains the werewolf gene that provides him with standard werewolf attributes and provides him with enhanced senses, such as hearing, sight, and smell, as well as heightened aggression. Alec even demonstrated that he can tell when someone is lying to them by listening to their heartbeat. After becoming a transitioned Quadbrid, Alec can transform from human to wolf form while magically maintaining his clothing.
Lycanthrope Enhancement: Alec is capable of using his werewolf features to further supplement his powers. Alec can grow werewolf claws and fangs even when he is still in his human form. Alec can display both sets of vampire and werewolf fangs. His eyes also change into those of her werewolf form, presumably granting his better eyesight. Due to his werewolf heritage, Alec's strength and speed are heightened further during a full moon and at its peak in his werewolf form.
Enhanced Werewolf Venom: Due to his werewolf heritage, Alec has venom which is fatal to Non-Original vampires and Alec himself is immune to normal werewolf venom and advanced werewolf venom. Alec's venom seems to take effect much faster than a normal werewolf venom and a Non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrid venom, speeds comparable to advanced werewolf venom.
