A/N: This chapter is dedicated to all of my friends that encouraged me to write more! Love you guys! (P.S If you comment below, the most awesomest commenter gets to have the next chapter dedicated to them!)
Crystal's POV
As Sammy, Kevin and I walked into the Drama classroom, we saw something written on the chalkboard. It said: Meet me in the theater. - Mrs. Star
We turned around and headed to the theater. When we got there and sat down in the cold, but comfy seats, Mrs. Star clapped her hands for attention.
"Everyone! Listen up! We will be doing a play about a fairytale for the whole school to see!" Mrs. Star said loudly. Her voice echoed in the big theater. "Does anyone have a suggestion?"
"Cinderella!" Somebody shouted. I giggled at the thought of doing that. I HATED fairy tales and since we had to do a fairytale, I was hoping that we could do one with sword fighting in it.
"Yea! Cinderella!" Everybody but Kevin, Sammy, and I shouted.
"OK then, Cinderella it is." Mrs. Star said with a smile. "Since all of you must be in it, tryouts are going to be held right now. Sing a song of your choice, and I will post the list of who is going to be who tomorrow afternoon on the bulletin board in front of the Drama classroom."
I sighed and watched my chance of doing a fairytale with sword fighting be washed away. I watched people try out and covered my ears a few times. Everyone tried out except for Kevin, Mallory, and I. Mallory volunteered to go first. I watched as she walked onto the stage and start singing. I covered my ears and buried my head into my knees during the whole time Mallory sang. Mallory stopped singing and smiled.
Mrs. Star uncovered her ears and wrote something on her clipboard. "NEXT!" She shouted making Mallory jump. Kevin walked onto the stage and started singing just as bad as Mallory. I frowned and thought to myself," I thought he would be a better singer"
When Kevin finished singing, Mrs. Star scribbled on her clipboard and shouted,"NEXT!" While adjusting the glasses on the bridge of her nose. I walked onto the stage and began singing a song I wrote in a loud, clear, and strong voice. As I finished, I was Mrs. Star beam and clap. Everyone followed her example and started clapping for me except for Mallory. I quickly got off stage and sat down.
"All of your songs were good," Mrs. Star said. 'I will be posting the list tomorrow," She wrapped her shawl around her and walked out of the theater as the bell rung.
RINGG! RINGG! RINGG!
I quickly walked to my locker to drop my books off and to my next class: Gym.
