It was today. The day where all the kingdom would come together to celebrate at the festival. Sky walked through the crowded streets, people were hastily standing tents, and setting delicious baked goods and handmade knic knacks to sell. Walking towards the arena, hesaw people practicing, fitting armor, and parents hugging their children. Arriving at the arena, he saw banners being hung, and a small stand being set. Preparations were running smoothly.
I smiled, puffing out my chest before heading on my way."Pffft! This looks like a child's playground!"
Sky turned at the sound. Ty kick a pebble off the dirt road.
"It's a festival!" Sky sighed, "It's supposed to be for kids!"
"Hmmf!"
Ty turned his back to Sky and stomped away.
Fuck! I did it again! Ty scolded himself.
He sighed, looking back to see if Sky was still in sight. When he couldn't find the butter loving king he sighed. Moving on, he began to watch over the food preperations.
"General Ty?" He was caught off guard by the sudden question.
"Yes?" He turned to the chef.
"We're running out of beef, so I was wondering if someone could get some?" He clasped his hands together.
"Uhhh..." Ty weighed his options.
Stick here or get some peace.
"I'll go!" He smiled at the man. At least he could do one thing right today!
"Thank you soooo much!!!" The man grasped Ty's hand and rapidly shook it.
"No, no, really!" Ty smiled, "It's fine!"
Ty then turned towards the road and headed on his way.
As Ty reached the main gate, he began to hear a strange buzzing. Shaking it off, he sighed and headed into the forest.
*le beautiful time skip!*
Ty looked up into the cloudless blue sky. It was already noon, and he had spent countless hours combing the forest for any signs of life, but none would appear before him. Sighing he was just about to give up hope, when a quiet clicking droned from deeper in the forest. His curiousity stirred, he began to wander farther into the wooded wonderland in hopes of discovering the click's true source. Suddenly, his head began to throb violantly. Grasping his temples, the pain grew unbearable. He slumped against a nearby tree, as his grasp on reality began to slip. His vision darkening rapidly by the minute, he fell to the ground and desperately tried to crawl to a nearby cave. Curling up next to it's stalagmites his vision faded to black, and he dripped into a restless slumber.
The festival was well underway and Sky was pacing the roads anxiously. Ty was STILL missing, and he exausted all resources. One of the chefs had said he left for the woods, but not one of the 200 warriors out there found any trace of life out there. The thing that felt the strangest to Sky, was that Jerome had left to train in those woods, but even he couldn't be found.
"AIIIEEEEEE!" The high pitched screech echoed through the throngs of people.
"Up there!"
"What is that!?"
"My daughter!"
"RUN!"
Panic settled into the crowd's minds as they lost all sense of reason and scrambled. Sky was tugged and pulled at by the crowd. Struggling to stay on his feet, he glanced up toward the glaring sun.
"AHAHAHAHAHahAhAHahAhaHA!" A shadow darted in front of the sun.
Looking closely, Sky gasped. The beast was almost humanoid, it's fingerd curled into claws. Demented dragon wings ripped through it's shirt casting a shadow over the area. Two large horns unfurled under the mess of hair rested upon it's head. He could feel the being's sanity slipping away into almost nothing.
It grinned maniacly down at Sky before extending its hand down towards the people. A purple light began to shine in his palm, and the wind skyrocketed. Sky's cape was torn off his shoulders as he stood, frozen in awe. A small globe of energy formed in the thing's palm. Giving a crazed laugh, he sent the globe spinning down at Sky.
"Sky!"
As people fled around him, he stood in shock, hypnotised by the purple light. It seemed to call to him. Looking up, the creature's eyes glowed a deep violet.
Wait a minute, he kinda looks like...
"SKY!"
Sky was jolted from his trance. The globe of energy only seconds away.
"SKYYY!!!"
A/N
Yay! Cliff hanger!

Me: Idk, did I?
