"SKYYY!!!"
Mitch dove towards Sky tackling him to the ground. The two rolled away from the impact of the energy ball as it sent them flying. When the dust finally settled Sky's friends sighed with relief. Mitch slowly picked himself up off of Sky. Looking behind him, he gasped at the large crater in their wake.
"Tch," the creature clicked his tongue in annoyance.
Mitch whipped a bow and arrow up from his back, and aimed at the beast. When he felt he could pull back no more, he let go of the string, causing the arrow to shoot forward at deadly speed. Without even flinching, the creature plucked the arrow out of the sky. Looking around, he found a little girl, lying on the ground in tears. Grinning, he flung the arrow down at her.
"Nooo!" Mitch cried out and dove for the little girl.
Much to his horror, Mitch was too late. The girl let out a loud shriek, as the arrow tore through her heart. Driving right through her chest, the arrow embedded itself to the ground behind the girl. All of team crafted watched in horror as the girl's lifeless body crumpled to the ground.
"GOD DAMMIT!" Tears stung Mitch's cheeks as he lef out a cry of anguish.
Picking himself up, he slowly trudged towards the other members. Wiping away his tears, he turned and glared up at the monster before them.
It grinned, obviously pleased at its work. Its work done, it flew off into the blue.
A/N
