Ryan seemed to fit in with the Falcons really well. He fit they're schemes perfectly and his 6' 5'' frame was a perfect fit to their pass heavy offense. After last year's Matt Ryan fiasco, the need for a strong arm QB was dire. Ryan Slick was the man for that job. During practices and drills, Ryan's feel for the ball and insane accuracy blew the coaches away. They had never seen something so promising, that includes Micheal Vick.

"This kid has the potential to win a super bowl." Coach Canoak said. "A super bowl? How about four? Five?" Coach Quinn retaliated. The way Ryan was able to read coverage and deliver a pass so perfectly was what had them going crazy. "He shredded our first team corner backs. And we had the second best pass defense in the league last year!" Coach Quinn shouted. The other coaches were astonished as they watched him throw. "Can he scramble?" Coach Canoak asked. "We haven't ran that drill yet." Said Coach Emberly. Coach Quinn got on the phone and dialed Ryan. "Ryan get your ass down here we're gonna run a few drills. Get Babaneaux and tell him to come with you. Hell, just get the whole box. See ya soon bubba."

Ryan entered the practice field with full pads. The d-line followed. "Hey man, you know what we doin out here this early in the morning?" Babaneaux asked. "Coach wanted to run a few extra drills before regulars start today." Ryan met Coach Quinn and Coach Canoak in the center of the field. He shook their hands and asked, "What do you plan on running, sir?" Coach Canoak, who is the offensive coordinator, said "Just a few out of the pocket drills. We want to see what you can do if the line breaks. We got the o-line out here too. Okay, set up on the twenty and we'll begin."

Ryan lined up under center. The ball snapped into his hands and he hung behind the line. The left side broke and Ryan sensed it with no problems. He sprinted to the right side of the line and broke outside. Paul Worrilow chased after Ryan and broke down in front of him to make the tackle. Ryan ran over him and sprinted to the fifty where the coaches stood. "Slick, you just made me shit my pants." Coach Canoak said.
