"Hey," I heard a familiar voice behind me.

I spun around to face the person walking towards me. "Jesus, Parker, why are you sneaking up on me like that?"

Peter laughed as he approached me. "You're the one who told me to meet up with you."

I shrugged. "To be honest with you, I wasn't sure if you'd show up."

Peter smiled softly. "I always do."

"Yeah, you always do," I nodded. "I can't help but wonder why."

"Maybe I just like talking to you," Peter shrugged with a small smile. God, that smile. It made me feel like he was an innocent little thing who needed protecting.

I rolled my eyes. "You are such a dork."

He chuckled as he sat down on a park bench, leaving room for me. I sat down on the bench with a sigh. "But seriously, thank you for meeting up with me tonight."

"No problem," Peter smiled. "I could tell from your text that something was wrong."

"Yeah," I sighed, rubbing my hand along the back of my neck. "I guess you could say that."

Peter frowned and moved closer to me. "What happened."

"I got suspended from school," I said as I looked up at the sky, the stars shining down on us.

Peter looked at me with wide eyes. "You got suspended from school? Woah, you really are a bad boy."

"Woah, okay, come on, it's just a suspension," I chuckled and rolled my eyes. "Don't tell me you've never gotten a suspension before."

Peter shook his head. "Never."

I chuckled again and leaned back against the park bench. "Geez Parker, have you really done nothing bad in your life?"

"Well...once in third grade I threatened to punch a kid," Peter shrugged sheepishly.

I looked at him, my mouth dropped open in mock shock, before I started laughing. "Oh my God, you bad boy."

Peter blushed. "Alright, alright, leave me alone."

I laughed once more before turning my attention back to the sky above us. It was pitch black now, our only source of light being the moon, the stars, and the street lights in the distance between us. "Huh, you can actually see the stars tonight. That's a rare occurrence."

Peter looked up at them with me. "You're right. I never noticed how rare it is to see the stars."

"Yeah, unfortunately, that's the bad part about living in the city. You don't really get to see things like stars."

Peter looked over at me, a small smile on his face. "You like the stars?"

I quickly looked at him. "I mean...uh...." I smiled and looked back at the sky. "Yeah. I like the stars."

"Look at that, he's got a soft side," Peter smiled softly at me.

"If you tell anyone, I'll make sure they never find your body," I rolled my eyes playfully. Peter raised his hands in mock surrender, and we both laughed. After a few minutes, I turned to Peter. "Well...I should probably get home before it gets too late."

"Yeah, me too," Peter sighed and nodded, and I noticed his smile slightly drop.

I chewed on my lip for a few seconds, wondering if I should do what I wanted to. Eventually, I decided to just do it. "Unless...you wanted to come to my house?"

"Your house?" Peter perked up.

"You know what, forget it. That was a stupid thing to ask, I'm sorry," I stood up from the bench quickly.

"No," Peter also stood up quickly. "No, it's not stupid. I'd love to come to your house."

I allowed a small smile to come to my face. "Alright. Follow me."

Peter followed me as I lead him to my house. I opened the door and held up my hand, motioning to Peter to stay back as I looked inside. It's not that I was ashamed of dad seeing Peter, I just...wasn't ready for him to find out about him yet. If dad knew about Peter, there would be a bunch of questions that I didn't know the answer to. I didn't even know what this was yet, I definitely didn't want my dad trying to figure out what it was too.

Once I saw that the coast was clear, I waved Peter in and led him into the house and up the stairs to my room. Peter walked into my room and I saw the awe on his face. I awkwardly rubbed the back of my neck and followed him in, closing the door behind him. "Yeah...I know it's not much, but..."

"No, it's amazing!" Peter turned to me with a smile.

A small smile came over my face. "Yeah? You like it?"

Peter nodded. "It's very you. You're a motorcycle guy, huh?"

"Yeah, I am." I looked around at the posters of motorbikes on the walls around my room. "I actually have one."

Peter's eyes widened. "You have a motorcycle!?"

"I have a motorcycle," I chuckled, leaning against the wall. "She's currently being fixed, but maybe once she is...I could take you out on a ride."

"You'd really do that? That would be so cool!" Peter smiled, sitting down in my desk chair.

I nodded. "Of course, kid. I'd be glad to take your motorcycle virginity."

Peter's face flushed and I almost laughed out loud. It was almost cruel how flustered I was able to make this kid. Peter finally coughed and spluttered. "Uh...I mean...yeah...yeah, that'd be great."

I smirked, leaning against the wall. "Great. So, I'll call you once she's all fixed and running again."

"Yeah...sounds great," Peter nodded, blood rushing into his cheeks. I couldn't help but chuckle again. He was just...adorable. Peter's phone vibrated, and he looked down at it, his smile turning into a frown. "Oh...that's my aunt wondering where I am..." He looked up at me with an apologetic face.

"Don't worry about it, kid. Go home, let your aunt know you're safe." I smiled at him.

Peter smiled at me, placing his phone in his back pocket. "Yeah...I will. Thanks." He walked out of my room, walking down the stairs.

I watched him go for a moment, before I followed him, stopping him right at the front door. "Hey, wait. Let me walk you home."
