"I'M GONNA GO GET A DRINK!" I yelled at Zoey. She nodded her head to me before she turned away and continued to dance to the music.
It was the first party of the college year. Hours before this, I was texting with the group to come over to get ready before the party, so that we could catch up a little.
Now we all came together, but me and Zoey were the only ones who stuck together, the rest got sucked into the crowd.
I pushed myself through the crowd exchanging some "excuse me," and some "hi's." I made it to the drinks and poured some alcohol into those red plastic cups until I felt a familiar presence beside me.
"What's up Lia?"
Turning my head, I was met with Luca. Looking him up and down, analyzing his fit. It was baggy jeans paired with a shirt that was tight enough to show his figure.
I looked back up and made eye contact with him, "Hey Luca, how you've been?" saying this while giving him a tiny smile.
"I've been ight, life's been boring lately, nothin' is new." He said with an exhale of breath before breaking eye contact and staring out into the crowd.
I followed his gaze before speaking up again, "I feel you, this party is the most excitement i've felt in a while."
