The canteen is buzzing with people, all in their own groups and cliques, I feel more out of place than ever. I feel like if I make the wrong move, or sit on the wrong table rather, I'll be hated for my whole time here.
I keep my head down, trying to just stay unnoticed. I realise that this is probably the best option until I by some miracle make some friends here. I start walking towards an empty table at the back of the hall, trying to dodge the various events happening all around me.
Most people don't take notice of me, but some start to look at me before turning quickly back to their friends and whispering. I try to give them a glare if they look at me, but they already look away.
I sit down on the table, glad to finally be somewhat alone with my thoughts, prodding around the shit looking food provided by the canteen. I'm starving, but like hell I'm eating this.
I hear whispers and look up, to see 4 girls looking at eachother and looking at me. I wasn't sure to keep looking at them or look away, so I just awkwardly keep my glare flicking between them and the wall.
They start approaching me, that's when I get a proper look at them. They are all wearing a short miniskirt so anyone could see their ass, obvious fake tan everywhere, several layers of bracelets and necklaces, pin straight blonde or brunette hair, a low cut shirt so you could see their cleavage, typical whore shit. They're all somewhat pretty, but I don't see myself being "friends" with them anytime soon...
The one in the middle gives me a fake smile as she walks up to my table, obviously the ringleader of the group. They just go and sit on the row of chairs opposite me, which frustrates me a bit, knowing that if I went and sat at their table with the attitude that they are giving me, I'd be beaten the shit out of. They glare at me in silence, a small evil smile on their face. The "ringleader" sits in the chair directly opposite end, and leans forward on the table, her many bracelets clattering on the table. She starts to look me up and down.
"Cute shirt." Her tone is exactly as I imagined. The fake, chirpy one all of the girls in my generation seem to have these days. She "complimented" me in a way that I knew it wasn't a compliment at all, more like a judging statement. I was wearing an off the shoulder white jumper, some flare jeans, nothing special compared to her and her friends outfits, meaning there's no reason for her to compliment me.
"Thanks." I chirp back, secretly mocking her, but it wasn't obvious. Surprisingly, she seemed to realise that I was mocking her, her smile turning into a cold glare as she runs her tongue over her teeth. She puts her star-printed sunglasses on her head, giving me a view of those typical ice blue eyes of hers. Most people would be intimidated by this, but for some reason I wasn't. She just pissed me off more than anything, and I could tell that I did the same to her.
"What's your name?" She said, tilting her head to the side to intimidate a sarcastic curious look, when I know that she couldn't give two fucks.
"Aurora." I retort, as she drums her acrylics on the table.
"Hailey." She replies, in the same manner as I do. At this stage, I'm not sure if she's mocking me or not. I feel really unnerving as I then remind myself that all her little puppies are still sat here, watching me like I'm their next prey."So let's get to the chase." Hailey coughs, her tone suddenly changing from chirpy and fake to serious and demanding. I raise my eyebrows at her, surprised that's shes given up her fake nice girl act.
"You see that boy over there?" Hailey points over to a table at the other end of the hall, and I try to trace her glare and pointing to find who she's pointing at. The one and only Tom Kaulitz. I almost gag once I get reminded of him, I secretly hoped that the whole interaction and him was just my imagination.
