Chapter 1 : The Cursed Town Kenal

The town of Kenal has earned a reputation for being one of the most dangerous towns in the country for its higher number of crimes a day and the mysterious disappearances of hundreds of people every year. The government has cut all lacks of funds to keep the town at balance so naturally the town became what it is today as the people couldn't do much about it. At the beginning people protested to gain some notice and pray a change would be made but soon quickly gave up as nothing has changed over the last couple of decades. A small family moved into the town as it was the only place that was affordable for two people working part time jobs temporarily. The father Rennard Hitoshi is a Japanese man who enjoys fishing in his spare time while also sticking to watching television at any chance given. The mother known as Kathrina Martinez is a Hispanic from Cuba that enjoys cooking her family's food that her dear husband enjoys with his life. Their son Evian Hitoshi has a potential like no other person they have both witnessed in their lives. Evian has always been a highly intelligent boy despite not being taught very much by his parents. He always seems to be fascinated about ninjas with swords or anything Japanese related while also loving the ocean as if it was part of his spiritual soul. One day an event would occur that would change his life forever. As Evian was playing with a broken rubber shark toy that was donated to him by some neighbor that lives next door to him, his imagination goes all wild as he imagines a shark is about to attack a small wooden stick that resembles a diver with protected gear. The four-year-old boy was having an enjoyable time unaware of the dark silhouette of a man to his left in the dark conner of his opened spaced room. The creature crawls up the ceiling not making a single sound as if it were a lion stalking a baby abundant. Evian later gets a bad feeling on the back of his head as if his instinct just awakened and suddenly his imagination switches into reality, he looks around the room as he senses that he isn't alone in his room anymore. He lifts his head up to the ceiling and discovers the creature who has been stalking him. 

Evian doesn't scream at the sight of the black creature with white dotted eyes and yellow smiling sharp teeth on the top of his ceiling, but he does feel rather curious on if he is seeing things correctly or is that really a monster staring right at him. The creature quickly crawls backwards until it reaches the wall and starts crawling to Evian's face. A long quiet stare off is shared by both in the dead quiet room, the creature stares into Evian's soul as its deciding whether to kill or eat him for its own enjoyment but soon discovers an emotion that it has never felt in its long decades of living in this planet. Pity. The creature feels as if this boy could possibly change its life for the better or cause a significant impact on the lives of many people. The creature steps back a couple of inches from Evian's face and hunches in a crouching position while trying to communicate with him with his claws. Evian looks at the creature confused as he doesn't understand what the creature is trying to say, until the creature opens its mouth and began to speak to him "Hello... my name is Boogey Man... I don't know if you cannot understand me but, since I haven't killed you and you are rather interesting to me, I figured I will let you live but you cannot tell anyone about me so you must keep this to yourself." Evian shook his head as if he understood what Boogey Man was teaching him some morals. Boogey Man takes another look at Evian and thinks to himself in its mind "maybe I should do something about this since this is a dangerous town and I feel like he could get killed if he is not careful enough. I guess I can protect him for the time being as there not much he can do but, maybe just maybe... he can become something so inspirational in the future, this a new chapter in my life and just the beginning of his." Boogey Man opens its long slender arms as if he were signaling Evian to hug him, Evian rushes to hug him while giggling at the touch of his sharp claws on his back and the rib cage pressed against his chest. "I will protect you Evian, I will not allow anything to harm you, I swear on my life that I will keep you safe in this dark world." Boogey Man gets up and heads for the large white door closet, as he enters the closet, he looks back at Evian and smiles warmly at the innocent kid who is smiling back at him as if he just made his first friend. Evian manages to say the words "Bye bye" right as Boogey Man disappears into the dark closet. A new chapter on their lives has just begun and will soon become a moment in history that will forever leave a mark to be seen by many lives that will come along the journey.
