(The girls only wear their masks when the boys wear theirs, which is applied for this entire arc. Also the reason the title of this chapter has 'Masquerade Outfits' in brackets is so you can easily know which chapter to reference if you forget the girls' outfits and need a refresher <3)

"Have you all finished changing?" NBC's Student Council Vice President shouted, his hands cupped around his mouth to project his voice. Behind him stood Rollo and the aide. While the aide had his arms casually crossed as they waited, Rollo had his hands folded in his lap and wore his usual deadpan expression... though in his eyes there was a hint of annoyance.

The NBC students currently stood in the school courtyard, and more specifically stood outside multiple small chambers created to be the male's changing rooms meant for gym classes. They were awaiting all the students of NRC to change into the Fleur City traditional outfits they had custom-made for them.

Meanwhile, unlike the boys' gym changing rooms that were right next to the school's courtyard... Regan and Vanessa had to travel a bit far to find the girls' changing rooms meant for either plus-ones or girls that visited the school. And not only did their far trip cause them to be taking much longer than the boys, but they had much more complicated outfits to put on. Boy, isn't it awesome to be a woman (it sucks, i choose the bear).

Upon hearing the vice president's call... the muffled voices of the changing boys rang from the other sides of multiple doors.

"Just... gimme a minute... My stamina gauge is in the red over here..." Idia's voice grumbled.

"Don't even think of keeping Malleus waiting—!! All of you, get changed this instant!!" Sebek's loud voice roared, as if there wasn't even a door muffling his voice.

"No one's done yet, yourself and Malleus included." Azul scoffed.

"I ain't never seen a getup like this before... How do I even put it on?!" Epel freaked.

"By all means ask us if anything confuses you!" The VP exclaimed amidst a few laughs, and the aide also laughed.

"All this goofing around..." Rollo's distasteful eyes glared away from everyone, swiftly grabbing his handkerchief from his pocket and holding it to his lips—

"Hello, Flamme."

Rollo's eyes shot open and he quickly shoved his handkerchief back into his pocket before turning to face Trein, who now approached him. "Ah, Professor Trein. What can I do for you?"

"I wanted to thank you for your generous hospitality." Trein gratefully smiled, a hand placed to his chest, "Clothing is an embodiment of the culture it comes from and can provide us with a glimpse into different time periods. This is a fine opportunity for my students to get a hands-on history lesson." "Please, think nothing of it." Rollo firmly shook his head, forcing a 'welcoming' grin, "Perhaps we should have arranged attire for you as well, though. That was a grave oversight on our part."

"It's quite alright, I assure you." Trein quickly replied, an annoyed glare in his eyes that glanced away from the student council president for a moment, "I don't need the other teachers poking fun at me for dressing like the students when I get back."

"Hmm, sounds like you're on friendly terms with the rest of your faculty." Rollo said, which made Trein smirk as he huffed a couple chuckles, "Heh heh, hardly. They're a raucous group and a constant source of embarrassment."

"Hahaha..." Trein and Rollo both chuckled in perfect harmony, like two coworkers who have been working together for years.

And now... the boys all started coming out one by one, all dressed in their new masquerade attires 😍
