Y/n POV

My name is Y/n L/n.  And, this is the story of how my life got turned upside down.

I'm the oldest of 3 siblings.  Our parents had us pretty late in life.

My dad used to work, but then the company he worked for went under.  So, I had to work several grueling, humiliating jobs, to make ends meet.  But, despite my efforts, the family began to fall apart.

Ever since he was laid off, Dad became lazy, selfish and demanding.   Mom could barely keep things together at home.  So, she just gave up and ran away to who-knows-where.

My brother turned to gambling to try and make more money, but became addicted to it.  And my sister's always been spoiled.  Now, she's a greedy shopaholic.  On top of that, both stupid siblings take my earnings without asking!

Yeah.  Things have become pretty terrible.  Some days, I wonder why I even bother.   But this Christmas, things would change, forever.

December 24th

It was Christmas Eve. A time of joy, giving and spending time with loved ones. (For most.)  And, the only time of year anyone in my family helps with anything.   My sister does the shopping.  I still had to buy the food, do all the giftwrapping, decorating and cooking, though.

First, I made the brunch. We had toast, bacon and coffee.   The typical morning spread.

And while we were eating, Dad made me get up and refill his coffee cup.  "WITH CREAM AND SUGAR!! God! You are so fucking useless!" he berated me.

"Then, why don't you get them, yourself!?" I questioned.  "Don't you take that tone with me, Y/n!" Dad retorted.  "Ugh.  Okay!  Okay.   Here." I said, giving Dad the cream and sugar.

But while I was doing all that, B/n and S/n ate my food.  "HEY!  WHAT THE SHIT, YOU GUYS!?" I exclaimed.  "It was getting cold, anyway." B/n said, nonchalantly.

I was seriously pissed.  But, I just went back to the kitchen and refilled my plate.  I tried to eat in peace, but everyone else just pigged out and treated me like a damn waitress.  It went on like this for the rest of the morning.

That Evening

It was finally time for Christmas Dinner.  We were having mashed potatoes, veggies, gravy and a big, juicy holiday ham.  And some sodas to drink.

At least, that's what I'd 'like' to be able to say.   Best I could afford was macaroni & cheese and wieners & beans.  And a 2L bottle of root beer.
