• CHAPTER 2

I slowly open my eyes. It's really dark outside besides the dim shine of Christmas lights. It's nice. Once Im more awake I look around. I realise I'm CUDDLING Alejandro. I silently freak out and pull my arms away from him. My face heats up. I take a deep breathe and check the time. It's 4am, I should probably go back to sleep but what if I start cuddling Alejandro AGAIN!? I stand up and walk out of his room. 

I walk to his kitchen and lean on the counter. 

I just take a second to think about what happened. Hopefully he doesn't know. I walk to his freezer and take out a tub of ice cream. I grab a spoon and eat some. After I eat a bit I close the lid and put it away. I walk to the living room and lay down on the couch and watch some tv, I was just to nervous to go back in there and lay down.

I hear a door open. Alejandro then walks out. "Hi Cody!! " He waves. He's still drowsy as hell. "Hi Alejandro!! " I smile. He sits down on the couch nexts to me. "How was your sleep? " I ask him. "It was fine. " He stretches. "That's good. " I smile. "I think it started snowing outside, really heavy. I'm gonna go check." He stands up and walks away. I sit and watch the tv. Alejandro walks back. "I can't open the damn door dude, it snowed like, 10 inches!!! " Ale frowns. "It's still snowing!! " He shouts. "Damn!! " I gasp. "It might be a while till the snow melts." He sighed and scratched the back of his head. "So um, does that mean I have to stay here. " I ask. "I guess, until the snow melts. Unless you want to go to the attic and climb out a window? " He rolls his eyes. 

"I don't want to do that... " I whisper. 

"kay, what are we gonna do all day. " Alejandro asked. "Would you still love me if I was a worm" I giggle and ask Ale. "Ew, no!!! " Alejandro says jokingly. My phone starts ringing. "IS YOUR RINGTONE SERIOUSLY-" 

"shhh!!! I'm getting a call. " I answer it. It's my mom. "Cody, get home right now!!!! " She said. "Mom, it's the middle of a snow storm. " I say. "Are you arguing with me!?! " She said. "Nuh uh, I'm just stating the obvious. " I giggle. "Whatever, we're going to move tomorrow anyways. " She hangs up but I don't realise. "WHAT, DID YOU SAY MOVE!? " I scream. "What.. " Alejandro said. "MY MOM JUST SAID SHE'S MAKING ME MOVE!? " I scream. "Did she say where, your prolly over reacting she might just be saying that your moving houses. "

Cody: MOM WHERE ARE WE MOVING.

Cody: MOM

Mom: Illinois!! 

Cody: PARDON.

I start hyperventilating and staring at my home screen. "Dude, Dude it's gonna be okay. " Alejandro wraps his arm around me. "BUT I'M MOVING ALL THE WAY TO ILLINOIS..! " I sob. "Don't worry we can stay in touch! " Alejandro says. "I'll make sure everyone knows, except Sierra. " Alejandro smiles. I make eye contact with him and rub my eyes. He hugs me. "I'm sure it will be okay! " He says then let's go of me. "Can you help me get home. " I ask him. "Sure dude. " Alejandro says. We walk to his room and I grab my back pack. "You should probably change... " Alejandro whispered then giggled. " But I have no clothes with me. " I frown. "You can just borrow something from me. " Alejandro says. "oh, thanks. " I say as he walks to his closet and takes something out. "Ughh, why do you have to be the size of a 5th grader I can't find anything that would fit you!! " He rolls his eyes.

"HEY!! "  I groan. "He just, um wear this. " Alejandro hands me a shirt and a pair of shorts. "Thanks!! " I grab them and sprint to the bathroom and change. After I go and put my clothes in my back pack and put it back on. 

I tie my sneakers. 

We climb into the attic and open a window. Alejandro jumps down from it and lands in the snow. He stands there waiting for me. I got scared and froze up. It was a high jump what if I got hurt. "Cody? Are you coming? " He asks. "Um,, it's too high. I'm.. scared. " I mumble. "Don't worry dude, I'll catch you!! " He smiles. "Okay.. " I walk closer to the window and jump out. He did what he said. He catches me then sets me down on the ground. "You weight as much as a cabbage. " Alejandro giggles. "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? " I ask. 

"Nothing!! " He grins. We start walking trying to navigate with all the snow. It was still snowing but not as heavily. I spot my street and we walk down it. We get to my house. We dig out some snow to open the door. We get it and I walk in. "Bye, Alejandro. " I say sadly. " Bye Cody!! " Alejandro waved then walked away. I walked in. "I got the tickets!! January 5th!! " My mom giggles. "MOM, THAT'S TODAY. " I gasp. "OH, SHIT. " she stares at the date on her phone. "Oops  I guess we are leaving a day early!! " She shrugged. 

I sprint to my room and start packing.

I walk out of my room with a few bags. "How are we going to get to the airport. " I ask. "Um, walk?? " She says. We walk out the door. We use Google Maps to walk to the airport. "I feel like one of those van life moms right now. " My mom giggled. "THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING. " I yell. "Oh." She giggles again. 

We reach the airport and walk in. We do all the stuff check off our bags blah blah blah go through security. We get on the plane. The flight is only 5 hours and 40 minutes. It could be longer. We found our seats. I sit down in my seat. I take out one of those kindergarten coloring sheets and color it. After a decent amount of time I take out my most and headphones. I plug them into my phone and play music. I lean towards the window and go to sleep. 

After around 4 or so hours my mom shakes me awake. "WAKE UP WERE GETTING OFF THE PLANE. " She screams. "GAHHH." I jump up and grab my bag. We both walk off the plane. We get our other bags and walk outside. We wait for a bit. A taxi pulls up and we get in. "I got us a place to rent for a bit don't worry!! " My mom says to me. I sit there looking out the window. It's nice. After like 10 minutes the taxi stops we get out and walk into the rented house. 

My mom instructs me which room is mine and I walk in. 

I place my bags down. A mattress is laying in a corner. It looks ugly. It is like 3am. I walk to the mattress and lay down on it. No pillows, No blankets. I curled up into a ball. After 10 minutes I drifted off to sleep. I missed Alejandro. 

A/N: this might be a daily thing. It will probably be at least once a week unless I say otherwise. (I'm going to New York in a couple months and this fic will still probably be going on so I just felt like informing anyone that gives s shit about this poorly written fic!!) 

btw I was watching the winter of '83 analog horror series while writing this and that gave me the idea to make there be a snow storm :3
