• CHAPTER 1

I wait outside of my house as I wait for the bus to get here. I scroll on my phone and get a text from Alejandro.

Ale: CODY

Ale: hi!!! 

Codemister: oh my god ur such a fatty

The bus pulls up and I get on. I walk to the seat me and Alejandro sit in everyday. He's sitting there and I sit down next to him. "Hi Cody!" Alejandro waves at me. "Hi Ale. " I wave back. "DONT CALL ME THAT YOU OBESE REDHEAD. " He yells. "My bad, zawg!! " I wince. I turn and play a game on my phone. I die in the game. " FAGGOT?!! "I scream and throw my phone. " oops,, " I stand up and grab my phone out of the aisle. Alejandro gasped. "G-" 

"SHUT UP!!!! " I cut him off. 

"ok!! " Alejandro smiles. The bus stops at the school. We get off. We walk to our lockers. I see gwen at her locker wearing a short skirt, crop top, and high heels. "GWEN YOU ARE GOING TO GET HYPOTHERMIA IT'S THE MIDDLE OF WINTER." I yell across the hallway at her. 

"No I'm not!! " Gwen screamed back. Me and Alejandro walked over to her. "Do you guys think I should get the role of the hunyak from Chicago?? " Gwen giggled then smiled. "you do know that you need to speak hungarian for that role, you learned Hungarian for that, right? " I ask jokingly. "igen, igen csináltam, Co-dyyy!!" She smirks. I pull up my translator app on my phone and type it in. "holy, you actually learned it. " I gasp. "Mi, mint nehéz?" Gwen giggles. "STOP SPEAKING HUNGARIAN. " I scream at her. "Nem köszönöm, ez jó móka!!" Gwen smirks again. " STOP IT!! " I scream then sprint away. Alejandro followed after me. " Zawg, Gwen speaking Hungarian isn't that annoying, just translate it. 

"BUT HOW DID SHE LEARN THAT!? THAT WOULD TAKE YEARS WORTH OF DUOLINGO LESSONS TO LEARN" I squeal. "Ok, we are gonna move on from that! " Alejandro smiles. "Let's just go to class.. " He says calmly. "'Kay." I Huff. We walk to our class. I sit down in my seat and listen to what the teacher is talking about, We were just taking notes. BORING. I yawn and lay my head on the table and go to sleep. 

I hear incomprehensible speaking. Omigod, If Gwen is speaking Hungarian I'm going to freak out. "Cody." I hear a voice echo.

I wake up, Inside my home. 

How am I here I swear I was at school. I'm laying on my bed. I reach for my favorite plushie on my bed. Once my hand touches it it just starts melting. I freeze. The whole room starts melting as well. I yelp and stand up. Once I stand up all the windows and doors in my room had vanished. I start crying. What is happening!? 

"Cody! " Someone starts shaking me. "Hmph..! " I respond and keep my head down. "Cody, are you good, dude? " It's Alejandro. " Yeah, It's fine!! " I sniffle. "Okay.. " He says. I hear him walk away. I wipe my eyes and stand up. "Oh, I didn't notice class ended. " I squeak then grab my backpack and put it back on. "Yeah..? " Alejandro said. 

We continue with our day. It's now 8th period. The only class that I get to sit with Ale for!! "Pssttt!! " I turn to Alejandro. "Hm? " He turns to me. "Do you have a,, pencil?? " I ask him. " Dude how have you gone all day without one. " He snickers and pulls a pencil out of his back pack and hands it to me. "Ty Hun! " I giggle and take the pencil. " That's so gay. " He giggles. "DIE." I scream at him. " Erm, no you!! " He does his work. I scribble a bird on my paper. Hehe birdie. I giggle. Alejandro looks at me. I giggle again. "What!! " I stare back at him. "what the fuck are you doing. " He asks me. "BIRD." I say then turn back to my paper. "Okay.. " He continues his work. The bell rings. " WHAT,, WHY DIDN'T THE TEACHER TELL US TO PACK UP!! " I scream. I throw my stuff in my backpack and stand up. Me and Alejandro walk to the bus. We get on the bus and sit down. I play a game on my phone again. We all get dropped off at a stop at the end of the day. I look around for my moms car. "Ale!! Can I go home with you, my mom forgot about me again!! " I beg him. " Of course. " We walk to his dads car. We get in. " Hi Ale!! " His dad says to him. 

"DAD I TOLD YOU NOT AROUND MY FRIENDS!!! " He screams. " Oh, sorry. " He's dad starts driving. 

I take my headphones out of my backpack and plug them into my phone. I listen to some music. I get to a song and turn to Ale. " This song is literally so us coded. " I giggle showing him some mitski song. "Slang makes no sense to me, speak normally!! " His dad says. "No thanks!! " I giggle. Ale is looking at the song. "Kay, I swear if this is another sappy love song I'm not letting you get off again. " Ale snickers and gives me my phone back. " I swear it isn't!! " I giggle. I pull up to Alejandro house. we get out and walk into his house. "CAN I GO SEE YOUR CAT!? " I excitedly ask Ale. "Oh yeah sure!! " He smiles texting someone. I run into his room and see his cat. I run over and start petting it. " Hey Cody, Do you mind if Duncan comes over. " Alejandro. asks. 

"DUNCAN, SERIOUSLY... " I groan. "He's my friend shut up. " Alejandro rolls his eyes. "One time he called Harold a slur then punched him." I argue. " Cmon!! Please. " He begs. "Fine." I sigh. "Yay!! " Alejandro cheers. 

My phone starts buzzing.

UNKNOWN: CODY CODY OMG!! 

UNKNOWN: CODY ANSWER!! 

Cody: Um, who are you.

UNKNOWN: OH MY GOD CODYKINS, DON'T BE PLAYING???! 

Cody: THIS IS THE 14TH TIME I'VE CHANGED MY NUMBER SIERRA HOW DID YOU GET IT. 

UNKNOWN: I stole Gwen's phone :3

Cody: FAT FAT DIE

I block Sierra and put my phone down. I walk out of the room. "Alejandro, My mom is having one of her.. 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨. Can I spend the night here? " I ask him. "Of course dude! " He smiles. "We should bake a cake. " I smirk. "YES." Alejandro blurts out. We skidaddle to the kitchen. "Chocolate or strawberry!? " Ale takes out two boxes or cake mix. " CHOCOLATE!! "  I giggle. He puts the strawberry cake mix away and takes out some bowls. I stir the ingredients. We pour them into a pan. "OMG, Cody did you know that I love chocolate cake!? " Ale giggles as he puts the pan into the oven. 

"Omg, I never knew!! " I squeal. 

We go and sit on the couch and wait. "I'm gonna go shower, Make sure to take out the cake when the timer goes off. " Ale stands up. "Okie dokie!! " I smile. He walks away. I sit on the couch. I turn on the TV. Hmm what movie should I watch. Ooh, I've got it!! Empire records, I love that movie. I turn it on and start watching. After like 30 minutes I start smelling smoke. "OH MY SHIT THE CAKE!! " I jump up and run into the kitchen. "NO NO NO! " I start freaking out and pull the cake out of the oven. It's burnt really badly. " NO, IT'S RUINED. " I bury my face into my hands. I hear a door shut. Oh god, Ale must be done, No no he can't see this. I start hyperventilating. " NO NO NO.. " I just stare at the burnt cake. 

I hear footsteps. 

"Oh god, Oh god. " I sniffle. Ale walks in and sees me. " What happen-" "I'M SO SORRY. " I cut him off. I run over and latch onto him hugging him. " Oh my gosh, Why have you been so emotional recently? " He asks. I just cry and hug him. "Are you okay dude, this is the second time today. " He said. "I'M FINE! " I snap. " Oh god, I'm so sorry! " I back away from him. "Cody, Go sit down on the couch it's gonna be fine. " Alejandro says. I walk to the couch. Oh god he's gonna be so mad. He's probably gonna yell at me for ruining the cake! It was his favorite too! I sniffle and bury my face into my hands again. Alejandro walks in. 

"Dude, seriously what's up. " He asks. "I-I JUS-JUST.. " I stumble over my words. " You know what Cody, Just go lay down I'll clean it up. " Alejandro says. I walk to his room and lay on his bed. I just fall asleep hoping every thing is gonna be okay. Ale doesn't usually get that mad at me, why am I so worried.
