Stone on the Hill

There's the spot on the top of the Hill
Where we always go even in the snow
This is the place where we met
It's the place where we most spent
You brought me here with a basket
And a blanket
It's where you gave me a ticket
A ticket to everlasting happiness

We spent many years together
And once we had our sons
We brought them to his Hill
Even with all the happiness here
The last few years only brought me fear

I know we couldn't live forever
I just wished we could be together
Now as I walk this Hill alone
I know your stone om top will shoe
I'm left here without you by my side
I know our boys will try to find
Why you had left them behind

I will try my hardest to let them know
That you had never wanted to go

Now it's my turn to let you go
As I walk down this Hill alone
And as I do it starts to snow
I just know your by your stone
Waving for me as I go
