Songs Played: The Ballad of Lucy Gray Baird by Rachel Zeglerꨄ︎
"Girl, you picked the WORST TIME to get food like everything's closed, why didn't you go like during the boring songs?"
"Shut up I was hungry and trying to get out of this place after is going to be hell so I'm getting my energy up!" True you though, you and your friend will be shoving through over fifty thousand people to get out. You were both giggling until you heard a familiar melody;
"Sweet dreams are made of this-"
You both stopped dead in your tracks realizing one of their biggest song has just come on. Side eyeing each other you just ran like your life depended on it.
"If we miss this, you're paying for another set of tickets." yelled your friend.
"I am not sitting in queue for 2 hours again then having to fight with Ticketmaster. NEVER AGAIN!" You laughed still chasing after her. After spending half your life savings on these tickets, you'd hope you wouldn't miss their most famous song.

The pair took their final bows, applause echoing all throughout the arena. The world famous super stars, Velvet and Veneer stood before thousands of people taking in every drop of praise from the audience. They carried themselves well on stage you noted, their performance was not only breath taking but also quite enjoyable. You took note of all those things and were sure to find it useful in your next performance.
"Thank you everyone, it was a pleasure being with you tonight!" thanked Veneer to the crowd, his voice was thick with praise. Girls and boys all around jumped and screamed, hoping to get recognized. You even found yourself leaning towards the edge of your seat even more.
"That's all for tonight, we'll see you again soon my dearest fans, until next time!" Sang Velvet to the much very alive crowd. The pair walked to center stage, slowly being lowered down beneath the stage. Final waves and air kisses being thrown to the crowd, directed to anyone who caught their eye. Standing there, taking a moment to appreciate their performance you take one final look at the good looking duo. With your luck both of them seemed to have had some sixth twin sense and locked eyes on you.
And with that their world stopped. What felt like hours of staring was only a matter of seconds before they disappeared beneath the stage for the night. They watched you laugh and dance with your friend, having genuine fun. By the time the platform had lowered beneath the stage, all the twins could was just stare at each other. What have they just gotten themselves into they both wondered.
Between the thousands of people leaving the arena, some songs being sung by fans it was such a fun experience. You laughed and danced your way through the night, enjoying the freedom. Little did you know that those stolen glances from the twins
was about to change your entire career.ꨄ︎
"See you tomorrow, same time for breakfast?" asked your friend Micalea as she exited the Uber with all her merch in hand. You nod and approval her way before wishing each other good night.
You only lived an hour outside the city, close enough to all the necessities but far enough where rent wouldn't put a hole through your pocket. Rain was pouring down now that the concert had ended. What lucky timing you thought as you put your headphones on and leaned against the glass.
