Falling through the sky on a seemingly ordinary Wednesday is becoming quite the routine for me. At least, I think it's the sky.
It's hard to be certain since I've chosen to keep my eyes tightly shut. The wind relentlessly presses my clothes against my body, a constant howling fills my ears, and there's an unmistakable electric taste in the air, as if Zeus himself is gearing up for a lightning strike. Knowing my luck, that wouldn't be too far-fetched.
Whatever I did to tick off the king of the gods remains a mystery to me. I'm almost certain it has something to do with the past week.
There's just one tiny issue—I can't remember the past week. Well, not entirely. I've got this vague sense that it's been a week, but the important stuff? No clue.
A week ago, I was chilling with my girlfriend Annabeth after surviving a bloody war. Pun not intended. Now? I'm hurtling through the sky
I seem to fall endlessly kind of like...My body is hot, sweaty, and the taste I initially attributed to electricity now seems more like sulphur.
Panic sets in, I remember the last time I fell into Tartarus, and I shudder. Slowly, I force my eyes open, and to my immense relief, it's not the underworld I'm plummeting into but the mortal realm.
The fall seems to drag on forever. Did Zeus toss me from the dam atmosphere? The thought crosses my mind as I twist in the air to glance below.
I let the ocean embrace me, a familiar, watery hug. It's not the most graceful landing, but the seawater engulfs me, and a surge of energy courses through my body.
For a moment I was able to forgot my worries, replaced by the reassuring embrace of my father's realm.
I chill at the bottom of the ocean for a few minutes; there's something oddly meditative about it. Eventually, I decide it's time to swim back up.
Breaking through the water's surface, I make sure to will the water to wet my body, trying not to attract any unnecessary attention.
Thankfully, it seems like nobody noticed me. I swim towards the harbour and climb up, my eyes catching a sign that reads,
"OTGHMA BAHRUOR."
I groan. Stupid dyslexia. I've seriously considered starting a petition for every letter to be in Greek—it would make my life so much easier.
** Heyyaa so like feel free to give me ideas because, I didnt really think this through. This chapter is a bit short I try to make it longer in the future. I won't be able to upload regularly knowing how I am but I try to. Anyway Author out, and tell me what you think about the First person POV, usually I am not a fan but the original PJO books are in first person so I thought it would make it more authentic but I can change it any time. anyway thats it. byee!! :D and sorry for my english i'm not native..**
