The quartermaster is the number two person on the ship. They are responsible for enforcing the ship's articles and administering punishment when necessary.

Pilot
The pilot is the number three person on the ship and often the most educated. They serve as the ship's navigator and is generally the best all around sailor aboard the ship. They are responsible for plotting the ship's course and maintaining that course. The pilot maintained all of the ship's charts and maps as well as the tools of navigation. They were charged with keeping a daily log of every event relating to the sailing of the ship.

Master Gunner
The Master Gunner is responsible for the care and cleaning of all firearms, culverin (deck guns), and cannons on board the ship. They are also responsible for training the crew in the use of both firearms and ship's weaponry. They report to the quartermaster, but are responsible to the entire ship to make certain that the cannons hit the declared target.

The Chef is the one in charge of the food. Since the pirates need good nutrition out at sea the Chef is the one to provide these meals and portion them out for everyone.

The Musician is the one in charge of the entertainment. They mostly play music but they can also do other things such as do tricks or dance.

These are usually kids around the age of 11-14 who help transport gunpowder to the cannons during battle and who help out the Master Gunner. They were typically chosen because of their small size, agility, and lack of fear.

The Doctors job is to take care of sick crew mates. They also perform surgery on those who need it. This person is knowledgeable on medicines, all kinds of illnesses, and injuries.
