"We go almost everywhere together," Mark showed a huge smile.

Samantha did not respond to his words, she was looking ahead and hoping that they would arrive at the workshop as soon as possible.

They found a small shabby building, with gray walls and a rust-colored door with the inscription 'WE REPAIR, MANUFACTURE, ASSEMBLY'.

"That'll be it, this is where our suspect worked a year ago," Samantha stated more to herself than to Mark.

Mark opened the heavy metal door, a bell rang inside, alerting the arrival of customers.

"Hello, how can I help you?" said a young, about 17-year-old boy from behind the counter.

Mark approached him, took out a badge and waved it in front of his eyes. "We'd like to speak to the boss."

The boy quickly ran into the back room and returned after a few minutes with a middle-aged man.

"Hello, I'm Morgan Miller, I own it here, how can I help you?" he asked in a deep calm voice.

"According to our information, a certain Rene Mastik worked here, would you tell us about him?" Samantha went straight to the point.

"He hasn't been working here for a year, what do you need from him?" he put his palm on his forehead.

"He's probably involved in several murders, we need to find out where he lives," explained Samantha.

The man was obviously surprised. "I don't know where he went after we threw him out of here, he used to live in the dormitory next door, but as soon as we sent him away, he took his package and got out of the dormitory."

"For what reason did you fire him?" Mark inquired.

"He was a jerk, obsessed with women. For a while we tolerated his sexist talk, but when he had a problem with stalking a customer, we let him go for the sake of the company's good name."

"What exactly happened?" Samantha interjected.

"We had a flu season, he was the only one who was not dismissed from work, so we sent him to change the lock alone. The customer's key broke in the door and she needed to replace it as soon as possible."

"He did his job properly, but he kept the spare keys to her apartment. One night the woman woke up and Rene was standing over her. He unlocked the apartment at night and watched her while she slept. She called the police on him then, but Rene escaped without punishment, he was only banned from approaching her. After this incident, we got rid of him as a company."

The agents looked at each other, then Mark turned to the head of the company: "Can you give us the contact of that customer?"

"I can only tell you her name because she evaporated after this incident." He took a piece of paper from the table, quickly scribbled a name and handed it to the investigators.

"Miriam Dervej," Samantha read aloud.

"Thank you," they left the old building and headed back to the station.

Amy Lenart's office

Amy was standing at the table with the phone in her hand when no one picked up for the fifth time, she gave up and placed the phone in front of her on the table.

"She doesn't pick up," she stated the obvious, "I can't reach her either at her home or at her workplace."

"It doesn't matter, I already sent Samantha and Mark to her home and Stephan and Katy to work, it will be fine," Jim reassured her.

A few minutes before

Mark dictated the name obtained from the locksmith to a colleague, Amy. She immediately entered it into the system and checked Miriam Dervejov's data.

"So? Do you have an address?" Stephanan asked her.

"Oh yes," she replied, "oh no, oh no, this is not good."

At the same time, everyone present looked at her with curiosity. "What Amy? Say it out loud."

"She lives a few blocks from the last victim," she bit her bottom lip, waiting for the others to respond.

Chase was the first to pick up on the thread: "That's why he disappeared from the dating site after the last murder. He must have seen her by chance when he originally came there because of Mischel."

"He started killing other women after he got fired from his job because Miriam caught him watching her while she slept," Katy chimed in.

"He took it as a rejection, and when Miriam was out of his reach after moving out, he looked for other victims to make up for it," Jim chimed in.

"That woman, Miriam, has a terrible misfortune, the poor thing moves as far away from the psychopath as possible, and he discovers her by accident while murdering another woman," Samantha was heard saying.

"No, she's lucky we're here," Mark disagreed, "We'll catch Rene before he can hurt her."

"We need to contact Miriam as quickly as possible, Amy it's up to you," Jim instructed, "the rest to the field."
