"Come on Jinx, stand next to your brother" Her mother said with a smile, her tone a fake comforting one

Jinx got in her spot as the camera people took their pictures. They looked perfect, they were that perfect family everyone to be.

That was one hell of a lie

As they got home her brother walked out and her dad did as well, going to be with woman they shouldn't

Her mom just opened a bottle of wine, making the sound you hear when a soda is opened as she popped off the cap.

Jinx went downstairs to the basement, going to play with her dolls.

She had a bright idea and grabbed a shadow magic book her dad had, running downstairs happily as she grabbed one of her favorite dolls.

She turned page and page reading as she bookmarked pages of which she wanted to use that spell on that page.

She used the spells and soon she had a friend!

"Hello friend!" She said happily

The doll, looking more like a puppet that had no soul, didn't respond

She sighed, leaving the room, "I knew it was hopeless..."

The next day the doll was waiting for her, the strings that held it up still attached to its wrists as it sat on the small little child stool.

It smiled at her kindly, more kind than her mother had ever gazed at her. Jinx lit up.

"Oh my archons! It worked!" She exclaimed with excitement

The doll slightly tilted it's head to the side, still smiling but in confusion as it had no clue what the little girl meant.

It looked at her with pure confusion as it asked, "What do you mean dear?"

Jinx blinked, getting the realization her friend didn't understand how she was here or where she was.

"Oh! I brought you to life friend!" She happily explained and showed the book

The doll just smiled, "Oh your my creator? You must be a very smart girl"

Jinx smiled, feeling more happy than she had ever in her life.

This was perfect!

She named the doll Mi amor and spent almost every moment with her. She finally felt happy and loved... everything was perfect. So it seemed...

Mi amor walked to the father, slicing his head off clean.

"Mi amor stop!" Jinx begged

Mi amor didn't stop, in fact she sliced the mother's head off.

"Stop this! Please!" Jinx begged

Mi amor sliced off the brother's head, and then looked at jinx. Jinx was crying as she begged mi amor to stop.

"Mi amor stop! Please! Stop this!" Jinx begged as more tears fell down her face

Mi amor stared at her, not with a loving, comforting smile... but with a cold, emotionless, and heartless stare before slicing jinx's head off clean.

Jinx's head fell to the floor with that sad begging expression still on her face, as her body went limp.

Mi amor sat down and took an arm, taking a bite of it.

Jinx's spirit appeared in front of her, a cold emotionless stare instead of that lovely smile.

Mi amor looked at jinx and realized what a mistake she made, "N-No..."

Jinx smiled and giggled, "Whoops! Your jinxed!"

Mi amor just stared in horror as she realized what she had done, the horrible horrible mistake she made.

She looked at her arm, it looked more human than doll. For a moment, it flicked back to the doll like texture and shape.

Mi amor took another bite of the flesh, terrified. The flicker went away.

She stared at jinx who just smiled... watching.

She left the arm there and walked out, going to a cave and sitting there, regretting her decisions... but that wouldn't stop the demon... she had no choice but to continue the pattern now.
