ONE MONTH LATER
Its been a month. A month. A month, since i have seen Emily's Beautiful Blue eyes. A month, since i heard Emily's contagious laugh. A month, since that horrible day. A month, since Nicole died. A month, since, Emily got hit by that.... that.... Bugger head.
Emily still hasn't woken up from that horrible crash. I haven't really been doing well, without my best friend around. I haven't been eating or sleeping properly.
Everyday we go and visit her in the hospital. The same thing happens. We just sit there and stare at her motionless body. Nothing happens. Not yet anyway.
Today we are back at the hospital, visiting her. I'm laying on the bed, with her, while my mom and Gemma are just sitting on the couch, looking at the floor, doing nothing. Suddenly there's and knock at the door. But i don't care. I just continue to stare at your lifeless body, wondering if i will ever get to see those beautiful eyes again.
"Miss. Cox, May i talk to you for a moment?" The doctor asks. My mom gets up and slowly walks to the door. I look over my shoulder at Gemma. She just shrugged.
I look back at your beautiful face. I hope you will wake up soon just so i can tell you that your beautiful.
My mom walks back in the room, crying. She looks and me, then to Gemma.
"I have to tell you something, and your not going to like it." She said as a tear ran down her cheek. "If Emily doesn't wake up in ten days then... uhmm.... they will have to take her off of life support."
"Doesn't that mean she will be awake mommy?" I asked.
"No baby. I'm sorry but that means she wont wake up. It mean she will go to heaven to see her mommy."
I turned back around to look at Emily again. I whispered in her ear "Emily wake up please. Were best friends remember. We have to stick together forever. Don't leave me here alone please."
I grabbed her hand and kissed her cheek, then i lay my head on her shoulder and whispered "I love you"
At that moment something happened that i never thought would.
She squeezed my hand.
"Mommy, Mommy. Emily just squeezed my hand!" I yelled. My mom came over and grabbed Emilys hand. I whispered in her ear again "I love you"
"Oh my goodness. She really did." My mom yelled. "Doctor come here please!" My mom yelled into the hallway. The doctor came running in.
"What, whats wrong?"
"Its Emily she just squeezed booth of our hands." He grabbed Emilys hand and I, again whispered in her ear "I love you".
"Wow its a Merical. Now it shouldnt be to long before she wakes up. Just let me get the nurse and we will do some tests."
Finally. Finally, shes gonna wake up. Finally.
