The day started, as so many had since entering this strange reality TV themed special, with all the students gathering in the thoroughly decorated gymnasium. The wreaths on the gym and stage, the garland across the beams holding up the curtains, and the strings of lights, baubles, garland and tinsel hanging from the ceiling, along with the sparsely decorated tree behind Monokuma on the stage, definelty fitted the festive atmosphere.
Despite the change of scenery, the students still felt wary and uneasy with phantom memories pressing at the back of their minds so some unknown reason. It wasn't until Monokuma finally announced the reason for this gathering, that the students allowed themselves to relax.
"Now then, boys and girls, we have a very special game to play today!" The black and white bear announced. "I have hidden a winged Monokuma figure somewhere in the school and all of you are tasked with finding it. Think of this as that weird tradition elf on the shelf."
Several students rolled their eyes.
"The person who locates the "elf" will be tasked with hiding it the next day and they'll allowed a very special reward!"
Kokichi threw his hand up like a child in class, "Oh, oh! What if we don't find it?"
Monokuma glared, "Then you'll all be slaughtered by countless Monokuma!"
"What if we literally can't find the fuckin' thing?" Miu bitched.
Monokuma paused, thinking about it in an almost cute fashion, "Then I suppose the person who hid the elf wins double the reward."
"There should be a rule where it has to be in plain sight..." Rantar suggested.
"Eww, don't give Monokuma any ideas!" Tenko scolded.
Kaito rubbed the back of his head, "I dunno, that sounds solid so we don't just hide the elf in our room or in a cupboard."
"I agree." Kirumi said.
"Enough yapping, get to looking!" Monokuma crowed, spinning away.

Tsumugi prowled the halls of the Academy with several of the other girls in tow, including her Secret Santa recipient. Tenko was busy procliming that the girls' team will succeed in finding the elf before the boys, Kaede nodding indulgently, but Tsumugi knew that one of the boys was more likely find it. It was, after all, on the first floor. Himiko was dragging her feet alongside Angie and Kirumi, who chatted about where someone like Monokuma would hide the figurine.
Tsumugi poked her head into Kaede's research lab, as Tenko ha been the one to insist the irls search both the dorms and the labs. As expected, no winged Monokuma.
Tsumugi was pretty confident in her choose for gift as part of the Secret Santa campaign. While she had helped design and write these peoples' backstories, she can admit that she was assgigned one of the easier people to shop for.

Gonta peered above the cupboards and the fridge in the kitchen. Nope, nothing. Gonta had already picked out his gift for "Secret Santa," even if he's still not quite sure what the point of it is. Santa should bring gifts for everyone, not play favorites. But, it was fun to watch his person and discover the kind of gift she'd like, even if she often accused him of the strangest of things. Gonta doesn' understand most of the things that she says, but he does understand most of it is meant to be mean.
Anyway, Gonta's just happy to be helping his friends look for a mini Monokuma on the first floor. Eventually, Gonta glanced up towards the light fixture, finding a tiny winged Monokuma lodged between the garland and a red ornament. Strangely, it was dressed in a bakini.
"Gonta found it!" He exclaimed happily.
"Nice work, Gonta!" Kaito gave him a grin.
"Aww, no faaair..." Kokichi whined.

Any ideas what the reward should be? I have no idea but the kiddies needed incentive. Also, the little Monokuma elf on the shelf is supposed to be a reference to SDR2's figurines you can collect around the islands.
